Etasi and I discovered Sifl and Olly after I looked up the video for Liam Lynch's "Whatever" on kazaa. I found a bunch of episodes and just downloaded one for the hell of it. We were laughing our asses off so much that I ended up downloading the entire 2nd season for us to watch. Still hav...

Gonna start this off by saying Etasi and I live together. We've been discussing the matrix since we got back from it on wednesday night, and we've been discussing the points you've made in your posts, Aaeamdar, they're very interesting. That being said, I'm going to do a quick run down of a few thin...

69.95/month canadian for 640k up, 3 meg down DSL. I've had just a couple of hours downtime total in the 4 years I've been subscribing to bell sympatico here in Quebec. They're really one of the best ISPs around.

WOW. There's not much else you can say about this movie. It starts off a bit slow, but once it kicks into gear, it's just non-stop jawdropping goodness. I had really high hopes for this movie at first, but after reading a couple of insider reviews on aint-it-cool-news.com I began to think it might n...

I know this is cliche, but if you liked the movie, you should really read the book. For those who don't know, it was written by Brett Eason Ellis, the same guy who wrote American Psycho and Less than Zero. Sean Batemen in Rules of Attraction is actually the brother of Patrick Bateman from American P...

Radiohead has gotten better with each album. I've been listening to Hail to the Thief for the last couple of days and it is fantastic/their best so far. However, the band and a few people associated with them have been saying that these tracks are from very early in the mixing/mastering process, the...

Single player: Half-Life or No One Lives Forever 2. Both of those kept me up until 5 or 6 in the morning because I just couldn't stop playing them. Multiplayer: Quake 3 Arena, because, in my opinion, no other game takes the amount of pure reflex, knowledge of the game, and constant awareness of your...

Kazaa lite++ "www.k-lite.tk" is what I've been using after testing out a few Kazaa clients. It's got a couple of features that put it a head above the rest. The creators of the program didn't agree with kazaa's implementation of user levels so they locked the client at 1000 user level, and...

Etasi's living with me, she's originally from California. I'm training her to resist being frenchified.

Tomshardware.com or Anandtech.com (I think...) did some really extensive benchmarking a few months ago which compared winXP and win98se performance in games. They ran a couple of different processors and videocards and tested a bunch of games, as well as 3dmark and a few other benchmark programs. I ...

I've read a bunch of the music threads here and now I've finally decided to post in one. I've never been very good at picking one favorite, so here are a few of my faves from the 90s: "Allison" - Slowdive (Souvlaki) "Ease Your Feet in the Sea" Belle and Sebastian (The Boy with th...
