Re: Facebook: The Movie
Hi. Read the "History" and "Litigation" sections of the Wikipedia article about Facebook. There's plenty of drama there for a film. If you disagree, you must not have enjoyed Pirates of Silicon Valley (86% on Rotten Tomatoes). The two films will probably prove to be similar, both...

"forcing a woman to have sex against her will" is rape, regardless of whether physical force is used or not. period. So getting a woman drunk or high to have sex with you should be considered rape. In Texas, yes. I'm sure every other state has a similar provision. (a) A person commits an ...

Re: Iraqi reporter throws his shoes at George Bush video
The point is moot. Maybe the guy would have used bullets if he had the opportunity. You have to wonder if he woke up that day thinking he was going to throw his shoes at Bush or whether seeing him in person made him so angry that he couldn't resist. But there's no way anyone is getting a gun that cl...

Howdy, long time no post. Law school keeps me busy. More to the point, it also teaches me that if a claim looks bogus, it probably is. If it were this easy to establish something as fact, our legal system would be a joke (the argument could be made that it already is, but the scope of how big a joke...

The first I saw about this was on the zeitgeist video. I kinda shrugged it off at the time. But curiosity got the best of me so I looked into it some more. Our constitutional rights protect everyone in this country, even people who are here unlawfully.
But that's irrelevant. The residents in question are the ones who do business with illegals, and they certainly qualify.

The claims in the suit were that the law infringes upon the federal government's ability to regulate immigration, and deprive residents of their rights to equal protection and due process. Though I haven't read the 206 pages, I agree wholeheartedly with the judge

There is a good reason the law was struck down. If small municipalities could do whatever the fuck they pleased without federal injunction, there'd be lynchings open to the public all over the south. The immigration problem can't be fixed by passing unconstitutional laws. If that happens, the U.S. w...
