Re: Stuck on an island
Great thanks for the tips guys. Definately going out to pick up Fallout 3 and gonna take another probably 4-5 of the suggestions here and either pick up or download them (as available) this weekend. Last trip someone had an old copy of Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 hacked versions. Man those were fun as hel...

Stuck on an island
Hey guys...been a while. Always gotten good advice at least when it comes to video games from this forum. Just finished a tour in Iraq...had enough boredom during downtime so I'm picking up a nice fairly hardcore gaming laptop. Fortunately being in the UAV world I'm very soon on my way back to Afgha...

Tracing email
Is it possible to track someone down to their IP address that uses a yahoo email? Have had a very interesting situation here...threatening that seems credible. Not going public with it here but if it is I would like to take it to PM's or even phone if I go too in depth as to the nature of the threat...

Yeah O2 sensor swapping is relatively easy but a bit more of a pain on a turbocharged vehicle (if yours is turbo that is) due to higher exhaust temps they tend to get stuck in there more than the NA versions. I highly advice getting an O2 sensor socket it has a cutout for the wire so you dont screw ...

Thats textbook O2 sensor failure symptoms. You do have 2 O2 sensors if your car is 96 or newer aka OBDII iirc, but only one matters. The front aka precat O2 sensor relays a/f ratio to your computer and adjusts air/fuel/timing constantly. The rear one only indicates if your cat is working properly (p...

Just curious if anyone has seen a fix for this. I have the newest drivers and the newest DirectX. Symptoms: If guild banner is up in the zone I camped out in I can not log back in on that toon. All other toons on the account log in just fine but it crashes when you try to log in to a zone with banne...

For just the basic paint job you would be looking at $3000-4000. To do it really well aka door jams and under the hood, seals etc a solid $6000-7500 should do it at a reputable shop. Now this is the price for doing it right...you have plenty of options for cheapo way. But then you wind up with orang...

Why does everyone beat up on the Alienware's? Noone seems to have one yet they bitch about the price. They are definately overpriced but if you can afford also definately worth it. My floor's DSL went down in the dorms for a few days a month or 2 ago. I went down to 1st floor and played on a friends...

Weaponize, what an interesting verb. I didnt coin the term. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/weaponize What doesnt make sense here is that NK has never wanted to destroy SK. They want the land, they consider it a part of THEIR country they lost in the 50's. Again never mind the fallout and the fact...

I dont leave until May 07. Given there are about 1 million troops 48 miles north of me with guns pointed/locked/loaded at each other, ANY overt acts of aggression directed at one or the other will end the cease fire and all hell will break loose. Personally I'm not concerned much. 1. NK wont nuke SK...

Bad bad time to be in Seoul, Korea atm. Well I'm about 1.5 hours north of Seoul that should be safe right? So far from what I've heard (news stuff) NK isnt even in the ballpark of shrinking down their nukes to fit on missiles or any dependable delivery system. Add to that the miserable failure of t...

Paper towels all the way. You could easily substitute them for the other 3. Yup. Soak a papertower, wring it out (carefully), pinch and shake will spread it back out to normal and its perfect use for TP, no scratchy bottom. Disadvantage = wet bottom Advantage = bottom is actually cleaned instead of...

Power surge, Dell PowerEdge 6300 Problems
Ok so last night we had a transformer nearby literally explode on us. This sent a nasty power surge just before the power went out completely. Our server is connected to an UPS/Surgeprotector and our building has an automatic generator that fired up and powered us up after about a 15 second delay. T...
