8800GST problems with EQ.

Just curious if anyone has seen a fix for this. I have the newest drivers and the newest DirectX.

Symptoms: If guild banner is up in the zone I camped out in I can not log back in on that toon. All other toons on the account log in just fine but it crashes when you try to log in to a zone with banner up.

If I'm in the zone and the banner is dropped no matter where it is or I am in the zone if I face its direction I lose video and have to turn away from it, use windows key to minimize EQ then maximize again to restore video.

Now I've heard Sony said EQ does not support any video card over 512mb and since mine is 640mb I'm guessing thats the problem.

Any help out there?
Raiding while only able to face in 3 directions sucks pretty bad.
