I remember reading about this in like 2002. The patent office took away his patent on it and he was afraid to sell it, because the idiots at the patent office were too stupid to figure out how it worked. I'm glad he got his patent back before some big company merely stole it, which is what happens to most small inventors in the US.

The ramifications of this are impressive. If I'm reading this correctly, anything dumped into it turns out into a nice, fine powder.
I can easily see this being used to clean out garbage dumps in major cities. Imagine: 20 of those things working together handling roughly 2 tons of garbage each, daily. No pollution, just powder results; you could flush out garbage dumps across the globe down to less than a eighth their current size.
