Yep, he's always been a pretty generous guy. Helps him get out of paying some taxes too, I'm sure.
I also heard a while back that in his will he only left 10% of his estate to his children - the rest was to be given to charity. Poor bastards will only get like 10billion dollars.

It's awsome though that he donates a good chunk to charities.

Well, if you are the richest man in the world, you CAN literally have more than you can possibly spend. Very generous yes, does he miss it, no. People can donate 100 dollars and miss it more than he misses 5 billion. I'm in no way arguing against his giving, just saying in his world, its not as big a deal.

I see what you're saying, but I really don't agree. $2.4 billion is a big deal for anyone. Gates could just as easily invest that money.Melrin_Specclaster wrote:Well, if you are the richest man in the world, you CAN literally have more than you can possibly spend. There are times though, where I sit here and just wonder what it must be like be his boss and get a memo or a report from him. Good times.
I should give you his e-mail, boy he could tell you some stories. I Cringe everytime I put a sever into production or update a Router and he ask for release notes.
