Kung Pow - Enter the Fist

Post by Canelek »

Yes, it is completely silly and retarded, but I LOVED this movie!!! I bought it on DVD and find myself wanting to watch it over and over again ;)

What do YOU think? :)

I turned it off (on HBO or something) after the first 5 minutes.

Give it a chance. It is really hit or miss, but it is a rarity among B-movie wonderment. :)

I liked it when that stupid chic kept going "yyyeeewwwiiii yeeeewwwiiii yeeeeewwwiiii".

that, and when the old man kept inhaling the moth...

If you have the DVD you can also watch the alternate dialogue version. Lots of great extras.

I like stupid movies for the most part, but this wasn't consistantly funny enough to watch twice. In a couple spots it was hilarious, but mostly just dumb.

I watched it tonight on Cinemax and really liked it. How did they make it? After watching the ending credits, it looked like they took an old kung fu movie, dubbed over the whole soundtrack, and then bluescreened in extra stuff.

Yeah, only 2 actors in the whole thing! They bluescreened "Dragon and Crane Fists", an old Kung Fu flick. The DVD has great special features that show how they did it--pretty neat actually. :)

I thought this movie sucked. The jokes were 13 year old humor. I could get the same humor if I filmed people throwing pig poo at each other. It was painful to watch.

Worst movie ever. So very not funny that it was painful to watch. It's so bad even Ebert didn't review it!

While poorly executed, the premise behind the movie is brilliant. I was disappointed in the end, but it was worth it for the absolutely ludicrous use of the original kung fu movie. Very counter-culture stoner fodder.

Worth one watch. Wouldn't drop money on it.

This movie is much funnier in retrospect than it was sitting through it.

Might go rent it tonight :)

The movie aint gonna be funny to someone who dont get the joke.

I couldnt stop laughing. the bad 13 year old humor was the joke. The blue screen on a "real" kungfu movie was the joke.

THATS ALOTTA NUTZ!!!!

Just because you don't find the 'joke' funny doesn't mean you don't get it.
