His wife is also divorcing him at the moment. It sounds like there was suspicion he was gardening with the lady who was injured in the car with him.

That they have been separated for like 9 months might have also had something to do with it.

Just because he's got a distinctive voice, doesn't mean he always plays the same character. Perhaps he's typecast to some degree, as he usually plays the wise or authoritative figure in the movie, but that doesn't mean he isn't a great actor.

I agree, I think he is a great actor, one of my favorite for sure.

I can get tired of Morgan Freeman sometimes. He really shouldn't have been in Wanted.

But he kicked ass in Shawshank Redemtion and Unforgiven and that's all that matters. His other roles have been well acted.

Look to Sean Connery if you want to see the same role over and over with the same voice.

I like his voice overs. Not as good as Thulsa mothafuckin' Doom, but good stuff!

Freeman was great narrating that penguin movie.

Also, he actually does play himself in the film 10 Items or Less with the very attractive Paz Vega. It's a good comedy. I recommend it if you enjoy dialogue-driven movies.
