Heath Ledger as the Joker?

You suggesting Jim Carey would be a good Joker? Although I think he's a MUCH better actor now than he was when he was riddler, I think he should stick to the serious roles for a bit.Leonaerd wrote:Ugh. Jim Carey as Joker prz.
I don't mind seeing good actors expand their horizons. His IMDB bio says he's a talented comedic actor but likes to take serious roles.Leonaerd wrote:But Heath Ledger?? That man has no joke in him.
Yep, that and Dark Knight Returns was the first good Batman stories i ever read (ill discount the superman/batman/krypto the superdog/superhorse/whatever i read in kindergardenLynks wrote:That was the first Batman series I ever read. I got it as a birthday present many years ago. I love the ending.
Crow never smiled did he? Crow was more of a sad, depressed, vengeful fella.Siji wrote:For some reason he's reminding me of The Crow, not the Joker.

That is actually a hint for : http://atasteforthetheatrical.com/
Looks like a high def trailer by Sunday or Monday. Cool stuff!

I didn't find any of that. The Joker's version of the paper is fantastic. Lots to read and try to pick out more hints. Email them and tell me what happensBoogahz wrote:The Gotham PD seriously underpays new officers (ad on page 4, heh). The only other links I noticed were for the letterstotheeditor@thegothamtimes.com on page 2, and the "tear" on the front page that you can drag open. Some humorous stories if you look through the four pages. I didn't call the number though
Lol, did you really expect that to happen? As much as i would LOVE a DKR movie, its basically the END of Batmans career, not the start, wouldn't make any sense to make a semi-last movie as the 2nd movie in a successfull series.Cracc wrote:Seems this has nothing to do with comic "The dark knight returns" wich was what i was hoping for.![]()

My thoughts exactely. I have no idea how or why you would have expected such a story from the second film in this incarnation of the franchise.Hesten wrote:Lol, did you really expect that to happen? Well, if you go for the Joker origin from Killing Joke, his makeup are a LOT more realistic than the normal comic book look. Actually, just checked Wikipedia, ALL origin stories do involve a chemical bath, resulting his his green hair, white skin, and wierd grin.Siji wrote:I still think Joker looks like a demented Crow. Seeing the trailer just reinforces that.
Very sad news....The movie is in post production, with a release in early July, so I doubt this will have any effect on it.Boogahz wrote:Just saw the notice that Ledger died. Where were they at in the production of this movie?
I was just talking to my wife about the comparison (imo) of this.. me thinking he looked like a demented crow in his latest movie and Brandon who played the Crow - both dying around the time of their newest movie. A stretch, but ah well.noel wrote:It'll have the effect of selling more tickets.
Same effect as Brandon Lee/The Crow.
Yes.noel wrote:It'll have the effect of selling more tickets.
Same effect as Brandon Lee/The Crow.
I'm having this argument in the Current Events forum if you'd like to pile on as well...Boogahz wrote:but Brandon Lee was shot on the set
