Yeah, people/countries coming in on the coat tails of others then trying to claim some measure of credit = wimps/ass kissers or whatever other derogatory comment you want to make. They all apply.
Or in the case of most of the coalition of the willing, the US threatens shitty little countries with less aid or bullies them into joining. You appear to think that by sitting in state of the art warmachines murdering people a mile below you is brave. Then again...you are a moron...
Other countries supported the United States in the past and now they don't.
Big freaking deal. That's how politics work.
Yeah, politics, that's why nobody supports you now

I'd rather have someone who isn't afraid to take action in the White House than a simpering UN sycophant.
"Or else... what?"
"Or else, We will be very, very angry with you, and we will write you a letter telling you how angry we are..."
I'd prefer a 'war-mongering asshole' vs someone who feels we need to 'get permission' from the UN.
Seriously? What? That really has got to be one of the most unbelievably ignorant and naive things written on this forum.
The myriad reasoning behind having a United group of nations are so mind bogglingly fucking obvious and important I can only assume you are one of two things:
A. A fucking moron
B. A violent cunt
Do you need a history lesson before we can go on to discuss anything relevant?
Yeah... I think the US should just get it over with and over-run Canada, while the UK stomps the hell out of whatever that postage stamp sized country Nick is from.
Kill two birds with one stone. Get rid of the remnants of a terrorist organization and aquire more oil. ::rubs hands gleefully::

so does this tryhard to be flippant remark mean that through some miracle you've realized what a fucking useless twat you are?
oh, you're really infuiating me now. i'm just so angry at your witty barbs and cruel taunting.
Kaldaur wrote:And, once again, Metanis stops posting after his recycled talking points from realclearpolitics op-eds prove to be useless against an argument.
Oh really? Someone made an argument?
Seriously dude, if you want to be the board Nazi then have at her...
You posted a point, then I posted a counterpoint. You had an idea, and I argued your stance using my points. This was an argument. I'm not trying to be a board nazi, but since you haven't addressed the actual issue on my point, which was the purpose behind the Crusades, I will assume that you have given up on that argument. I will also assume that you will not use wikipedia anymore for citations, as it will generally get you bitten in the ass.
For instance, I am now adding under the Crusades that Metanis has no right to use this as a source. Check for it tomorrow, hopefully it will be there.

Crusades
Reconquista – First – People's – German (1096) – 1101 – Second – Third – Fourth – Albigensian – Children's – Fifth – Sixth – Seventh – Shepherds' – Eighth – Ninth – Aragonese – Nicopolis – Northern
This article is about the medieval crusades. For other uses, see Crusade (disambiguation).
Metanis should not use this as a source, because of is inability to be controlled by legitimate academic sources who might actually know of the subject material, rather than copying and pasting from a worthless encyclopedia.
The Crusades were a series of military campaigns—usually sanctioned by the Papacy—that took place during the 11th through 13th centuries. Originally, they were Roman Catholic Holy Wars to recapture Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the Muslims, but some were directed against other targets, such as the Albigensian Crusade against the Cathars of southern France, the Northern Crusades, and the Fourth Crusade which conquered Constantinople.
Beyond the medieval military events, the word "crusade" has evolved to have multiple meanings and connotations. For additional meanings see usage of the term "crusade" below and/or the dictionary definition.
Once again, Metanis, please do not use wikipedia as a source.

I can only assume you actually skimmed some of the material in that entry before you so callously defaced it. Real Nazi-like behavior on your part. Feel pride in your accomplishment.
In any event there are virtually no free internet sites which I trust a great deal. However there has to be a value judgement regarding a site's suitability for the task at hand. For the sake of this worthless arguement with a little Hitler-wannabe then even Wikipedia is a fine reference.
The underlying point was simply that Muslims have tried to expand using force in the past and had to be contained. I will actually give them credit though, they live their faith and take it much more seriously than most Christians. I would probably decide to coexist if that were an option but the paranoid Muslims have taken it off the table. This of course indicates they don't have a lot of confidence that their faith can stand up to honest competition.

Nazi-like would be burning the wiki server host and killing the authors, I can see how you would get that confused with making an alteration which will be rolled back in short order.
Oh yeah, and you automatically lose any argument when you invoke Hitler or Nazis. QED.

I didn't read the source Metanis. Wikipedia is a joke. It's often wrong, and hides its falsehoods behind lengthy encyclopedia entries that substitue large words and intelligent-sounding sentences with actual fact. You made an argument, and I disagreed with your argument. I don't need to read a wikipedia entry. They're largely crap. As long as you realize that what you said about the Crusades was wrong, I'm happy. Quote wikipedia all you want, I don't care. Just don't expect any of us to take you seriously while you persist at it.

I don't like quoting wiki's either, but the site's information has been found to have fewer errors than enclyclopedias.
Wikipedia is okay to quote if the entry is a couple of months old. If you want to refute what is on the site you can challenge it, and the administraiton will edit it with your research or delete it entirely.

The historical entries have a higher degree of accuracy than regular, sold encylopedias. I don't know why you'd think some 16 year old is going to say, 'HAY GUYS ITS REALLY COOL TO POST FALSE INFORMATION ON THE CASUALTIES OF THE CRIMEAN WAR'. No one gives a shit but history buffs to begin with, so it's going to be pretty accurate.
