When has there been a movie that's advertised 2 week after release (other than during award season and DVD release).

Great movie.

I'm waiting to buy the Special Edition but downloaded the DVD and watched it again.

Marv is one of the best characters to hit the big screen in a long time.

Violent Marv's story is always a great story, however, i think i liked Dwight's story a little more.

Hes more humane and just a little kicked back like your average man.

Plus he wears Chucks.

But if were talking about comparisons of 2 great movies, i enjoyed Batman Begins a little more than i enjoyed Sin City, it could be from all the breaks in action and narrating that put sin city behind, but i thought Batman was a better movie. Plus Christian Bale is easily one of my favorite actors since i saw Equillibrium.

I didn't like batman begins.. I can't quite put my finger on why. I definately think Sin City was much better, and I will also be waiting for the special edition.

Rented this last night, great movie. More shots of Jessica Alba would have been good :)

Bought it the other night, didnt feel like waiting for the special edition, which my sister will probably buy anyway.

Its really hard to pick which story was the best. They were all great, but I think Hartigan's was the best, then Marv and Dwight.

Probably prefer KB1 v's 2, but that's purely because a) the peach garden scene was probably the best, cinematographically, I've seen in American film, b) the ninja physics of punching your way out of a buried coffin shit me to tears =p
The fact that you focus on that one single flaw in physics in a movie with such an outlandish premise and chuck full of scene ofter scene of physically impossible situations makes me want to lol.

PFFT, LOL!

I DEED IT!
There's what, at least half an hour's setup for the punch your way to freedom scene? Sure, the Pai Mai stuff is good in and of itself, and full of moments of Chinese Opera physics, but it's almost all there as setup...

There's a difference between the coyote realising he's run off the edge of a cliff and scrabbling back, and the coyote not stopping in time and managing to land satfely by flapping his arms. And I tell you what, half an hour of leadup to it doesn't help.

In short, I can only suspend belief so far. If you make something intrinsic to the story line that's impossible, you better sell it really, really well. This does not, it tries for half an hour, but still fails.

Now, back to Sin City:

This came out to own start of this month: 9/10 just needed more Jessica to be a 10 ;p
