The problem there is that it's not the individual farmers who are sucking down billions every quarter. Ma and Pa Kettle's 100 acres in Tennessee aren't where most of that money goes. It's the huge corporately run mega-farms that suck down assloads of my tax dollars. We artificially keep the prices higher than the global market will sustain. Yes, this benefits the family farms (the few that are left), but it benefits the corporations A LOT more, and they are supposed to be operating in a free market.nobody wrote:bush proposed cutting farm subsidies buy 100,000 a year per farmer. he said in a speach recently that there is no reason a farmer should be making more than 250,000 dollars from subsidies.
