Shouldn't it be called a magma lamp? It's not lava until it erupts, which is what this guy did: converted his magma lamp into a lava lamp.

Obviously fault can be laid at the doorstep of the lava lamp makers, who failed to provide copious written warnings that placing a laval lamp on your stove is not a good idea. His parents will no doubt sue for a billion dollars.

20+ years ago I saw a lava lamp and thought it was the coolest thing ever!
