Got this myself. Great game.. I especially love the fact that you can go anywhere at any time and it's not just big emptiness. There's stuff to be found in almost every nook and cranny of the world; and it's a pretty damn big world when you take that into account.

I wouldn't say bug-less though. For example, the sound is pretty funky. Almost every conversation with NPC's for me ends up in the volume going way down on their speech the more they talk. Other than that, I haven't really found much wrong. Definitely worth the low cost for it.

Another thing I noticed, in the Valley of the Mines, there's an area near the ice part of the map that uses the exact same sound as in Butcherblock Mountains in EverQuest. Not similar, the same. Wonder if Sony knows about that.. (I'm assuming EQ came out first)

It's a canned sound. You hear similar in Morrowind, and there's a door opening sound in the origional EQ that was once in Daggerfall.

Ok, got around to finishing this b/c I need the HD space for Doom 3.
Fun game, really enjoyable, recommend it to anyone that plays adventure games of any kind. End fight was a joke, imo, something unique would have served better.. but ah vell.

But HOW do you use bows? Can equip it in inventory, and its on my back, but when i draw my weapon, i draw my normal meelee weapon instead.

Once you equip it, it will be assigned a hotkey. Hit the hotkey to bring it out.

Ahh, ok, gotta play with that tomorrow then :). Only got 15 arrows so far anyway. But seems like a HUGE game, managed to become a citizen and join the militia tonight.
I SO miss the ability to con mobs, you only know if its something easy or deadly after you go splat :(

Btw, know how to switch between the maps? Bought both a city map and a world map at the cartographer, but can only seem to get to see the world map.

Ok is it just my system or is this supposed to happen... I go into the valley toward the prison colony, go up thru the first cave on the left, over the bridge into a tunnel and.... it zones me just wasting about 6 hours of daylight, it's pissing me off!

I installed the game, wandered out of the tower and got spanked by a bug.

I hate you all.

Hehe, got to chapter 2 now, help a LOT to get a little skill in 1 hand (didnt have any 2 handers when i trained, got some now).

Can it really be true that alchemy is so worthless? To make heal potions you gotta use materials that cost more to make than a heal potion cost at a vendor. Was VERY surprised to see that it cost me a 15pp water, and stuff thats around 150pp buy price (didnt check sell price) to make a 50pp heal potion. Basically im just using it to be able to make those stat potions :)

Kinda wish I had stumbled onto alchemy earlier. Best bet is to Not use it to buy comps from a vendor - use it for all the weeds and stuff you find laying around.
