Seriously, equating the "rants" of Democrats with the rhetoric of a man who set half the world on fire? If thats the way Bush and the Republicans amplify all threats, no fucking wonder you invaded Iraq!
Watch it again. He isn't compairing Democrats to Hitler. He is using negative footage from Democrats and from MoveOn.Org. In the bizarr mind of the people that made this add they are simply demonstrating how negative democrats are.
The republicans should get thier money back and pull this off asap (or edit it so people unfamiliar with MoveOn.org realize what is really happening in the Ad).

The confusion in the ad is nothing a few hanging chads can't cure. At worst, a few of your dead relatives voting republican will cure anyone suckered in by Kerry.
Perhaps some day the Democrats will provide a decent candidate instead of some stiff that people disgruntled over their lives vote for because they hate republicans and want presidents that goof off and spend more time worrying about why they're stuck sleeping on the couch than planning attacks to take out al Qaeda leaders.
Do you people really like Kerry? Did you even know who the fuck he was a year ago? I'll make fun of Hillary in 4 years during her campaign and after she's elected but until then, you may as well get used to Bush.

Well if I was in the states there is no way I'd vote for a religious, socially conservative and fiscally liberal candidate.
This election isn't about Kerry. He may very well have the most boring term in office ever. He may very well suck and give people more to gripe about. But I think Kerry would have to put serious effort into being as bad as Bush. With Kerry you don't know how he will be in the job. With Bush you already do and it doesn't work in his favor.

That was a pretty fucking retarded commercial on Bush's part. That whole Hitler shit looks like the commercial is trying to represent Bush as a modern-day Hitler. The first time I watched this I paid no heed to the Moveon.org message and was thinking what in the fuck... Watched it again and saw that. But if this is a commercial, and they plan to air it on television, most people don't have the ability to rewind and play that shit again. Not to mention the transition in tone between the Bush-bashing and the "hopeful" end is terrible.
I find it totally distasteful that Midnyte is dropping lines like "It's your groups material".
I am not a party creature. I may be liberal, but I am certainly not a democrat nor am I an disillusioned college student that yelling at the rain and surfing sites like the one mentioned.
Now, back on to topic:
What I found odd is that George Bush would paint a picture of outrage with potential voters and only smooth everything over at the end for a brief second. There is too much time in that ad devoted to stirring up emotion and not enough spent focusing the positive aspects of that emotion on Bush. The intent was clear to me, especially after reading everyone's comments first, but I don't assume that the average American is that insightful.
To be honest, I, also, find it distasteful that anyone is using Hitler in ads today.
What is really funny is that with awareness of moveon, and its illegal evasion of election laws via its very existance (don't get me wrong, the "right" has attack dog sites also) that they (the GWB commitee) were dumb enough to use footage from a website that even with much money spent on buying ads is generally unknown. They strengthened the value of a weak attacked, and then made a commercial that is really so bad that even Bush supporters are sure to be offended.
Well unless they are named Midnyte lol

I was unaware of moveon.org before this discussion. After visiting the site, I wouldn't go back.
that 'commercial' comparing Bush to Hitler was not made by moveon.org.
It was made by an independent person who submitted it to moveon.org for a contest during the Democratic primaries. At which time moveon.org did post it to their website for a day. Then after they caught a lot of shit about it, they withdrew it and apologized, claiming that it was a mistake or some nonsense like that.
I think that is the footage that we are viewing here. That being said, i still don't believe that this is actually real, this video on the bush website. it simply doesnt make sense.
you would never for any reason juxtapose negative images like that with your candidate even if the point was through hyperbole to destroy the attack. i dont even believe it is real today. i mean it is insanity.
i have no idea, and why that is on their website for more than 30 minutes is crazy.
the inmates are running the asylum.
honestly, i think this is a sign of some people making decisions while losing their composure. Perhaps this will resonate well with persons like Midnyte who are already voting for Bush.
Frankly i don't think that the footage of any of the Democrats pictured looks particularly "wild-eyed". It wasn't Dean's "scream" speech by any measure. I know that the conservative commentators tried to portray Gore's speech a couple of weeks ago as "fringe" or whatever, but it wasn't. If he had spoken like that during his run for president, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. PEople respond to emotion - not raw, uncontrolled rage - but that isn't what is portrayed here. Again, and again, the Bush administration and campaign pisses on your boot and tells you it is raining.

This new video shows something unprecedented in politics - the coalition that John Kerry is building to defeat our President - a Coalition of the Wild-eyed:
You want to call Michael Moore un-american? Bull fucking shit
George Bush Jr. is the most un-american President this country has ever had to endure and frankly I am disgusted by the continuous flow of absolute shit coming out of his mouth, his administration and his war
I don't know what's more retarded...this ad, this campaign, this administration or the fact that the poster child for abortion of a president we have pronounces Abu Ghraib as Abu Garef
Umm picking on pronounciation of Arabic names by English speakers is rather silly, hell, there are about 20 variations of the spelling for Qaddafy available to choose from heh.
Not saying he cannot do a better job at public speaking, but in the last 12 months from so called professional news casters I have heard Riyadh pronounced as RID-YAH, REE-ODD, RYE-ODD, RE-ODD-Y, and even RID-E-UH.
English Speakers from everywhere suck at having the sensitivity to other languages and pronounciation. The entire time I lived in Europe I was appalled at American, Canadian, British and even tourists from Hong Kong butchering every non-english word they spoke.

Him mis-pronouncing the name of the prison wasnt the funny part. It was the 7 seconds afterwards of silence, where you know in bush's head hes thinking FUCK FUCK FUCK! I said it wrong! FUCK FUCK!

They have been doing it for over 4 years now. Try watching TV. Or go support that un-American pig and go see Farenheit 911.
Anti-Bush, or making harsh critism = anti-american? HOW in gods name do you come up with that conclusion?
Only watched the commercial once and I got the point the add was trying to make. Which is that the democrats are doing a hate campaign. Criticaly I think it needs some reediting so the message is clear to people who are politicaly clueless. Such as leave the "move on.org" thing on longer. Personally I loved the shot of people booing Micheal Moore.
Watching that I had to go check out georgewbush.org to make sure that .com wasn't the fake site... what a bunch of morons!
Tell me this... Conservative or Liberal, Democrat or Republican... HOW CLOSLEY to you REALLY watch those commercials? Sure there is some random text at the beginning and end... if you don't read that though the ad is more like a Pro-Kerry ad. I truly though the site was hacked...
How many "average" Americans have see that thing from move on? 5%? at best...? The only thing I really noticed were a buch of people dogging Bush then a fade out comparing Bush and Hitler... then when it said paid for by Bush... damn I would think he is pro Hitler... very scary, I sure hope that don't run this add on TV.
I'm pretty Liberal but I'm still not 100% sold on Kerry. Edwards? Yea he had my vote but not Kerry, I don't see him much different from Bush, except more taxes. Thus George still has a chance to win my vote... I think a lot of others are in the same boat right now, I can promise you though he will not get it will ads like that.
1) I stand by my assertion that using hitler in a political ad in ANY context is the lowest mud slinging possible. MoveOn.org did it, evidently, and I don't condone their actions (nor even the existance of ANY 517 groups), but this is Bushes OWN FUCKING CAMPAIGN PEOPLE. Whoever greenlighted this is probably going to be put in the same hole in the ground that they bury Scooter in in a couple weeks.
2) If I were the president and the biggest scandle of my presidency in the middle of the election year were occuring, I would be intimately fucking familiar with the name of the place that was the center of the countriversy. The fact that he routinely mispronounces such names and flubs all sorts of public statements just plays into him either being truely that stupid, or not giving a shit about them. Both are unacceptable.
3) Kerry is not the optimum choice for president. Using the "do you really want Kerry as a president?" argument is just employing the straw man tactic with the anti-Bush people on this board. We know he sucks. We have admitted it. He does have three key things going for him, however:
a) He has served inactual dangerous combat situations and then subsequently lobbied to get his fellow combatants out of Viet Nam. He cares about the men that Bush has tossed into the meat grinder so carelessly in the name of Imperialism, because he was in their shoes. You can mock his one small shrapnel wound getting a purple heart all you want, the other two are undeniably earned as was his silver star. And where was GW all this time? He was so busy snorting coke, that he could not even be bothered to show up at the cush gig with the Guard that his dad lined up for him. The real person who should be ashamed here is Bush Sr, who was a real soldier. How that man, after what he went through as a combat pilot in WW2, can let his son lie his ass off and dishonor the US armed services is beyond me.
b) He is not a bible beater. Kerry will not touch social issues with a ten foot pole, which is a good thing. The social issues are something the masses need to decide on, not legislate through Anti Gay constitutional amendments and Roe vs Wade challenges. Kerry also won't be starting his campain at Bob Hopkins University, that lovely place that has rules against white girls and black men holding hands or even dating. Kerry's party is not run by the Jesus freaks, nor does he feal that god appointed him president. I challenge any free thinker to debate that point.
c) He is not Bush. At this point, Bush has made so many mistakes, between his enourmous deficit, destruction of american foreign policy, the Iraqy war, the failure to capitolize on the 911 situation to reform Afghanistan, his handling of Israel, the Patriot Act, assembling the richest and most evil cabinet in the history of the nation, and blatant imposition of his religious views on domestic policy. ANYONE would be better than him, at this point. Cartalas would make a better fucking president, I do not exhagurate. I think most people would rate Kerry as being more capable of a public servant than Cartalas (no offense, meant in this instance) and he is certainly in a better position to oust the megacorperation that has taken over the execuative branch of the country. To quote another site, I know Kerry is a douche, but I am going to vote for him anyway.
Blech, got that out of my system. Bring on the misquotes and unresearched statements, please.
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.

This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."
In an ideal world, I would agree with that statement. However, this is not an ideal world and people have to be realistic. Nader has no chance of being elected president, and everyone including Nader himself knows this. People who are anti Bush or anti Kerry who vote for Nader instead of the opposing canidate are just throwing their vote away. It shouldn't be that way, but that is the reality of the situation.

That's a good point. If my entire decision was based on this issue I'd vote for Kerry.
Oh I agree that the chances of a third winning it are slim Jice, but this election really is the best chance since the 70's to pull off a new party winning. No one I personally know even diehard republicans are happy with Bush/Cheney, and no one I personally know as die hard democrats are happy with Kerry/Flavor of the Week.
What would be required is for a major third party to grab a candidate with nationwide awareness factors, an honorable history and a room temp or higher IQ. But I do not think McCain thinks we deserve to have a good president anymore (and I do not blame him) and there is no other human being I can see pulling it off.
However people really should vote their conscious rather than for a win, if third parties get enough votes they will be stronger next time and we will have a better choice than Dumbo and the Jackass.
