Ok I rewatched it carefully, and I what I saw was the guy who has run the dirtiest nastiest campaigns in recent memory is now saying the other side is running a dirty campaign, it's laughable at best, and as much fiction as most of his promises
The first duty of a patriot is to question the government

You know, I felt dirty watching that. Bush has proven he is a walking talking pile of excrement.
In 2000 I felt that given a choice between Bush and Gore, political ideologies aside, we as a country were better off with Bush. I can't say that now and were the choices Bush and Gore again in 2004 I'd be voting for Gore.

Using Hitler in any context in a political ad is a new low, but I can't say I am suprised. I am sure they are runniung out of ideas.
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

You know, I really want to believe this is a hoax site, or a hack of the actual web site.but it appears on cursory examination to be legit as a site, and other than the rotten video quality there is no apparant hack of the file.
Umm hmm, if this is accurate unedited and released and approved by George W. Bush, then I am quite simply appalled. I am blown away by how pathetic this is in all ways.
Glad I decided not to vote for him months ago.

Midnyte, if you really feel that showing a picture of Adolf Hitler and the text about god and iraq are not wrong, then you are utterly incapable of calling yourself a thinking being.

Your seriously happy to see two men (both of whom actually served this country in both war and peace, unlike Mr AWOL Champaign company GW) compared to Hitler? This is acceptable politics to you?
The Irony here is that Adolf has more in common with GW. Both men believed that God personally apointed them leaders of their country. Both men launched unprovoked wars by tossing out propaganda at their own people and the world at large. Both men presided over the largest infringement of their citizens freedoms in their respective country's histories. Both men were homophobic drug users. Both put ethnic groups they disfavored into concentration camps and/or in places where they could be tortured in defiance of international law. Both men also lead their nations to the brink of ruin....
You still find the Hitler card funny, you homophobic bible beating fundementist racist imbecile?
Hitler had actual combat experience though, so I guess he has that in common with Gore and Kerry.

The ad illustrates the irresponsible nature of the democratic campaign. Everything in that ad is something the Kerry campaign has said about the President, though if you didn't know of these accusations already I can see why the video could be misinterpreted. It's poor form to say the things they do just to win an election, let alone in a time of war when we have troops on the ground. Undermining the credibility of our country is, sadly, the only foot they have to stand on thus far in their campaign. Yes the country. By attacking the Head of State you make the entire country look like idiots. The campaign should be less about why we're in Iraq and more on what the next 5 years will entail under each. We're already there and the only way out is to have a successful regime change, which is a gradual process.
Solutions? Answers? Track record?
Screw that, just attack Bush.
Kerry seems to be the guy with no credibility. I can trust Bush to do what he says, say what he means, and stick to what he said. If anything, Bush might have acted on inaccurate information. That is not lying - that's not having the right information. Big difference. Saying one thing and doing another is hypocrisy, and this is a great link from that campaign site that illustrates some things I did not know.

You know, after a few tokes, Bush starts to look like a panda. Not a special panda, just an ordinary every-day panda. I like pandas. Except when they fart. So I guess this campaign worked.

Ara, it is a montage of all the outrageous things the Dems have been saying about Bush. It is absolutely hilarious. The Hitler thing is the best. It's moveon.org's ad against Bush. I love it. LOL the fucking GOP put anti Clinton commercials on the air last weekend. They can't even let the past go, so they sure as hell are not going to let people in the present make them look even more stupid.

The problem with this is if you are not aware that MoveOn.org had a hitler video against bush you see it as part of Bush's ad. They should have left the moveon.org text on screen longer.Midnyte_Ragebringer wrote:Ara, it is a montage of all the outrageous things the Dems have been saying about Bush. The whole ad seemed extremely bizarr to me when I initially watched it until I read your explanation. The shock of seeing hitler there adds to the glazing over of the details of the add IMHO. And judging by the responses here it won't be an uncommon reaction. They probably could pull it off with a longer segment but the frames change to fast as it is and I would have thought it was an anti-Bush video at first glance.
