The first example you brought up was the Texas Sodomy law situation.

You live in Texas and your stance on gays is well known.

I submit that I have drawn a reasonable conclusion (one of opinion) about your personal motivation in this matter. If the first example you thought of had nothing to do with religious moral views, I might have drawn a different conclusion.
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .

Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

I don't have a *stance on gays* Jice. I try my best to treat people as individuals not catagories.

Pride Week (300,000 gay people)

i hope there is a lot of overlap in the hotel bookings :p

You know, I have always wanted to know what would happen if Jerry Falwell was kidnapped and released in the middle of a really out there gay leather bar.

Would they all be singing Kumbayahyahs or would he get beat up heh

Don't make me dig up posts. You had some real dooseys in that Gay Mariage thread alone, let alone little snippets here and there.

But in response to your treat people as individuals statement, read O'Conner's ruling closely.

You don't know me Jice.

You're not in a credible position to make such statements.

I however am an expert on me. As an expert on me I tell you that stereotypes are a poor fit when dealing with a person.

Surely this is common knowledge?

So you have reversed your stance that gays don't deserve the right to marry on the basis that god told you so? That is the viewpoint you have espoused every time it has been brought up. I could post links but all anyone need do is scroll three pages deep in this forum's history to find multiple topics where you have repeatedly stated this.

This is a yes or no question, but feel free to address it with as little or no detail as you feel you need to get your point across.

I am not trying to be insulting, but this is the impression you have given.
