Just went to see it and thought it wasn't as bad as the second film, I agree that they should have stopped at the first. I really liked the imagery of at the docks scenes but that was about it.

The amount of time it took Trinity and Neo to figure out Mr. Smith was in the real world made them both look like complete idiots. I had it when he woke up it was that predictable. When the captain said he was on Neo's ship I actually said out loud "no shit sherlock."

A little romance never hurt anyone but come on, I went to see the Matrix, not a Soap Opera. "I can't go any further!" "I love you" "I love you too." "Kiss me!". *groan* (Sunserae: I burst out laughing then too).

WTF do they have to whisper all the time? Instead of "dramatic effect" it was flat out annoying.

Too many fight scenes. Some were pretty good sure, but there is only so many times I can watch someone get kicked in the face in slow motion or go through a wall before I start to loose interest.

I get the impression that they knew they lost the viewer when they brought too much ambiguous philosophy and religion into the story of Matrix II. It was as if they tried to fix that in III by putting more emphasis on things that made the first movie work (action and the love story) but they over did it.

I laughed too, as well as saying loudly with my brothers, "just die already for fuck's sake!"

something i never really understood about the concept

neo was released fromt he matrix when in the matrix it copied the modern day world of 99-00, near the time when the AI was created and the revolution started
so when the matrix was created, did they start at 1000bc or some shit and progress, becouse obviously life and technology etc progressed in the matrix, or does human history in the matrix have nothing to do with the real worlds history,
at that rate, the machine revolution would start within the matrix and then they just reset it?

Or since it's all a controlled environment that never happens there... not that hard a concept.

Ok, enough posting in this thread, I'm feeling too geeky!

Are there toilets in the Matrix or is it like Everquest and Norrath where noone ever has to go and there's not a restroom anywhere on the planet or in the planes!

Finally saw it, piece of garbage.
Seriously, people want to see people do interesting things in the matrix not running around the pitifully designed zion.
The french guy served no purpose, might as well been anyone who made the train station.
Flying fighting sucks, you couldn't see shit that was going on
zion fighting sucked for the same reason

what a wasted license
and I'm not alone, the movie is shittanking woefully fast in this country

people still live life day to day, remember there childhood and how time changes, Neo even worked for a software company or something, so history within the matrix has to exsist
prolly just something they never thought about or thought anyone else would

I said the exact same thing..

Also.. what the heck was the whole point of the kissing crap with that top heavy woman in Matrix 2? They didn't explain it, it went nowhere, there was absolutely no point.. and the scenes sucked that brought it up in the first place.. It was even in the video game with her demanding kisses.. I mean.. what's the point? Heeeelllloooo?? I mean please tell me it was more than just a ploy to put in a girl on girl scene to try to get the interest of men..

The point of the kissing scene was to setup the fact that machines could understand the concept of love. Then to later have it be conceivable that she would know Trinity would kill everyone in the room including herself in the name of love when such emotion should seem illogical to a machine.
The other more obvious point to the scene was that she was dissatisfied with frenchie boy because he didn't wuv her wike he wused to. Thats why she took them to the keymaker.
The final, and most important reason for the scene is that Monica Bellucci is fookin hot, like unbelievably hot. Any time you can attach incredible T&A to a movie, it is generally appreciated.

The Persephone kissing thing is explained in the game I believe. She's able to read people or something through their kiss. You can see a Persephone/Naiobe kiss in the game!

Saw it yesterday. Now I took the Oracle's meaning of Free to pertain to the Programs that want to leave (ie The Indian family). I didn't think it would be any of the humans currently in the matrix.

All in all I enjoyed it but I am glad I payed for the matinee. The only thing that really bothered me is the big fight scene at the end. Granted it was cool to watch all the effects and such but I couldn't help thinking that when it all boils down to it you better know kung fu better than anyone else. It also seemed that Smith didn't follow the rules for being an Evil Overlord. I would have had all the Smith's on Neo to take him out. No fucking around.

So who else thinks this is going to be a TV series in the future?

Persephone was a vampire. Well, as much a vampire as one can be in the matrix, same sorta deal with the Twins and Werewolves.

Some types of vampires (mythological or not, im merely stating) feed off human emotions. Well, not feed, they, indulge in the emotions. Everything from love to sadness etc, as they cant feel them themselves.
It could be that the only purpose for your every existence, is to serve as a warning to others.

He's not.. having finished with both characters, you'll have to kiss her with whichever one you're playing.
