GEORGE W. BUSH
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, DC 20520
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Law Enforcement: I was arrested in
Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol. I
pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license suspended for 30
days. My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is not available.
Military: I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused
to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By joining
the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.
College: I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was a
cheerleader.
PAST WORK EXPERIENCE: I ran for U.S. Congress and lost. I began my career
in the oil business in Midland,Texas, in 1975. I bought an oil company,
but couldn't find any oil inTexas. The company went bankrupt shortly after
I sold all my stock. I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a
sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money. With the help of my
father and our friends in the oil industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I
was elected governor of Texas.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS I changed Texas pollution laws to
favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the
Union. During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most
smog-ridden city in America.
I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in
borrowed money. I set the record for the most executions by any governor
in American history. With the help of my brother, the governor of
Florida, and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became
President after losing by over 500,000 votes.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT: I am the first President in U.S. history to
enter office with a criminal record.
I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one
billion dollars per week. I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively
bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.
I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.
I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any
12-month period. I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a
12-month period.
I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S.
stock market. In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost
their jobs and that trend continues every month. I'm proud that the
members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S.
history. My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil
tanker named after her.
I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. President.
I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most
corporate campaign donations. My largest lifetime campaign contributor,
and one of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest
corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. History, Enron. My political party
used Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to assure my success with
the U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision.
I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against investigation
or prosecution. More time and money was spent investigating the Monica
Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the biggest
corporate rip-offs in history.
I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to
intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.
I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history. I changed
the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government
contracts.
I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any President
in U.S. history.
I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the
history of the United States government. I've broken more international
treaties than any President in U.S. history.
I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove
the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.
I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.
I refused to allow inspector's access to U.S. "prisoners of war" detainees
and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.
I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations election
inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election).
I set the record for fewest numbers of press conferences of any President
since the advent of television.
I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one-year period.
After taking off the entire month of August, I presided over the worst
security failure in U.S. history.
I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center
attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in
the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history.
I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously
protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for
protests against any person in the history of mankind.
I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked,
pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did
so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens,
and the world community.
I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty
benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in wartime. In my
State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for attacking Iraq and
then blamed the lies on our British friends.
I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%)
view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security.
I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical Bunker Buster," a WMD.
I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to
justice.
RECORDS AND REFERENCES: All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are
now in my father's library, sealed and unavailable for public view. All
records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and my bankrupt
companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view. All
records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President, attended
regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for
public review.

Actually, gonna go on record and say that there were some pretty massive failures of diplomacy in 'world history' ;pXzion wrote:I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center

Amusing though, even if we've heard most of it already.
Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable, let's prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all. - Douglas Adams
Its suposed to be is resume fool, so of course it occured before he took officePahreyia wrote:The sad part is that some idiot who doesn't pay attention to the news is going to read that and believe every word of it. Worse yet is that 2/3 of that shit was occuring or had occured BEFORE Bush took office.

Everything in there, besides maybe 2 or 3 opinionated comments are true, biased and one sided, but true.

It was taken from the above site, which lists over 1000 reasons to vote GDB out of office, complete with relevant links confirming the source. Pretty interesting site, especially for the Bush lovers.

all of that information is accurate. there are some subjective exagerations such as "the lagest protest against anyone in the world ever" but I doubt anyone could discredit any of those accusations.
the sad part is I could probably add another 25% to it just off the top of my head. he doesn't even begin to go into how he pisses all over the constitution, is polluting government and government spending with shitty jesus propaganda, blocking important medical research like stem cells while other countries surpass the US by leaps and bounds, is trying to give law enforcement more and more powers to spy on anyone they like for any reason they like. nor does it mention his long history of alcohol and drug abuse or how he went AWOL from the air national guard during wartime.

Hate to break the news to you but the economy was shot before the election even occured. The Market started dropping summer of 2000 and plummeted all fall, no matter who was elected people had started to figure out that investing 50million in a company with no product, a huge staff, no revenue, and nothing but a c.om name was dumb, and the market readjusted.
Go check out the figures, any 500 sites have the DJ and NASDAQ over time charts.
As for all the anti war stuff it is nothing next to Vietnam which was started by a Democrat, no one has ever proven Bush to be AWOL other than that fat fucking freak Michael Moore screaming it all the time.
Most of that document is inaccurate.
Look Bush has an evil fuck as a vice president, and Kerry is Lurch from the Adams Family, lets drop this bullshit and vote Libertarian.

I am not fond of Bush, I think there are a lot of valid criticisms of him. But this list is pretty poor argument in my opinion.
Some comments ...
As I said before, I think there are plenty of valid complaints to bring against Bush. But a lot of these don't strike me as valid. Even some of the ones that do, are presented in a very poor manner.
Some comments ...
He won the electoral college, which is how our presidents are selected. With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President after losing by over 500,000 votes.
In my opinion, one of those was completely justified. Trying to just blindly lump both together just so you can say he invaded two! countries when opinion generally is pretty divergent about how justified the two different cases are unnecessarily clouds the issues.I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week.
Technically he couldn't "spend" the U.S. surplus because whatever surplus we had for the couple years we had one went immediately to pay down the debt. Also, although I am not fond of deficits or the debt, the U.S. Treasury is hardly bankrupted.I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.
So he can join Bush I, Reagan, Carter, maybe Nixon/Ford, and FDR at least as presidents who did this. There probably would be more but FDR set the bar so high it was quite some time before anyone could pass him. Granted, he had more justification than most with WWII. Which also gets back to the apocalyptic rhetoric regarding the deficits. During WWII deficits hit 30 percent of GDP. In today's terms that would roughly be 3 trillion dollars, compare that to the roughly 500 billion we had. As I said before, I don't particularly like deficit spending (although I think that the overall level of government spending is more significant) and I think we should stop paying out more than we take in and pay off the debt. But that doesn't mean that we are currently bankrupt.I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.
These as well as some other comments here run into the problem of they don't really give you enough information to know if this is signifcant at all. We have an expanding economy, so every year it gets easier to set a record in various economic indicators when looking at nominal values because the overall nominal totals get bigger.I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any
12-month period. I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a
12-month period.
I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S.
stock market.
We had a net decrease in employment of 2 million over the first year, the trend lessened but still saw a decrease of roughly 800,000 or so over the next year and 9 months. Then we started seeing increases in net employment, pretty signgificantly over the last few months. The statement about the trend of job losses continuing is false. In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month.
Not sure about Halliburton but the investigation into Enron is still continuing. It supposedly is taking a long time because the law and the accounting involved is very complex and its taking quite some time to figure out what happened.I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against investigation
or prosecution.
Huh? What energy crisis did we have that came close to the mess we had in the late 70s? If they are referring to California, then although there were corporations trying to game the system, the primary problem was the poor regulatory setup of the system. The crisis was also already going during Clinton's administration.I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to
intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.
Nominal prices, adjusted for inflation and they aren't the highest (although it is possible that we could actually hit the highest, we aren't there yet).I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.
They talking about the Internation Criminal Court or something else here? If the ICC then we were never actually a part of it. And rightly so in my opinion. In fact then it would probably be unconstitutional for us to join it, since it would mean citizens would potentially be denied consitutional rights.I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.
As I said before, I think there are plenty of valid complaints to bring against Bush. But a lot of these don't strike me as valid. Even some of the ones that do, are presented in a very poor manner.

With enough hatred many people can see past the facts and blindly believe others that only take part of the truth and bend it to suit thier own agenda. I wish the hatred in this country would go away but I am nieve thinking that one day when I die it will be gone.
This election is a hatred contest; more or less it's who you hate more that will decide how you will vote. Maybe I am insane but I think that is totaly wrong and dangerous. History has proven how such elections end up in failure and at times have seroius consequences.
Hopefully we can all focus on issues and we can all learn how to research from non biased sources to get an idea on how a certain canidate feels on a certain issue, and vote from there. The facts are out there plain as day yet no one feels like they should look at them cause it's easier to look up anothers research to see what they want to see. For example if you want to learn how Bush did in Texas you can look up economic, eviromental, labor, housing, and countless other things to see how the state preformed under his leadership. For Kerry you can research his voting record on major bills and see the bills he introduced into the Senate. The only reason why some of us do not look at the first hand documentation is because we are too lazy and prefer to have our info in 30 minutes or less. F the MTV generation.

Glad you took the time Chmee.
The problem is that with bias lists like this you can make anything sound anyway you want to, I remember a usenet post ages ago where it talked about a guy running for office and talked how he had saved his country from inflation, made it strong economically, provided it with a strong defense, cut unemployment to nothing, provided for the poor, improved health care, rebuilt his capitol city, built all new roads, removed the cries of those who spoke against him via his policies, promoted patriotism and gave a new feeling of strength and security to his nation. And so on, but his name may have held him back...it was Adolf Hitler.
