WMP faulty?

I was downloading my porn last night and lately, any and all .WMV files wont play for me in any player..I have DivX, Realplayer, Winamp, WMP, Quicktime..all that shit, and still wont play any .avi or .wmv..something about a license..it wont let me watch Full Metal Jacket either! ><..first the codecs thing and now this..did the contect get protected or did Gates update WMP with an unannounced update?
