Matrix Revolutions
Bah. I'm sorry I picked this up to complete the series I had. Watching this at home, and being able to pause and look closer at scenes, it's disgusting how many scenes simply suck. How many special effects blow teh cock. It's sad to see how so many amazing things were in the first movie, and then this one looks like they just did their best to get it done and over with without giving a fuck. Not even going to talk about the stupid plot lines. Yeah, I know that Alliyah and the Oracle lady both died and they had to make changes, but come on..
And someone pull Lawrence Fishburn away from the all you can eat buffet.

No Spanks, that wont even help. I mean, there was a sex scene in Revolutions, but bloody 9 minutes of it? I mean, the start of it reminded me of that cool scene in Blade 1 where Blade get to drink blood, but they the scene went on...and on....and on....and on..and so on.
I think that Matrix Revolutions is the first movie where i wished a sex scene shorter.
At least the 3rd is a little better, but i think they should have stopped after the first one, would have been a LOT better to cut it there.

"Terrorism is the war of the poor, and war is the terrorism of the rich"
Matrix Revolutions is great. Way WAY better than the second. Easily in my top 3 cinema visits last year with RotK and X2.
It's not the best thing evar and it's a bit uneven in places but when its good its very good indeed.
I can't shake the feeling that most people don't like 2 & 3 cos they're disappointed there isn't more of the "computer geeks as superheros" that was in the first film. I'm not saying that's the case here though

Besides thinking it was boring, the main thing I remember from watching this movie at the theater was several people in theater yelling out "Just fucking die already!" when Trinity and Neo were blabbering as she was dying.
And can anyone tell me what the significance of "The Last Exile" was? I watched the Animatrix, played The Matrix (as both characters) and don't remember anything about her being talked about. But Smith seemed to address her as if she was important.
Also, anyone else reminded of Whoopi in Ghost with the whole Smith taking over the Oracle and such? Ya know, when the ghost and then Sam took over Whoopi's body.. anyway..

FYI for those that bought the DVD..
Warner correcting Matrix Online DVD gaffe
Former publisher Ubisoft gets prominent billing in recent DVD release; reissue on the way.
Yesterday, Warner Bros. released the DVD version of The Matrix Revolutions. Included in the disc's assortment of previously unseen content is a 10-minute "featurette" that delves into the making of the upcoming The Matrix Online game due this fall. Interviews and previously unseen gameplay make up the bulk of the featurette's content.
The game, an MMORPG based on the Matrix universe, is being developed by Monolith, the folks behind Tron 2.0 and No One Lives Forever. Until recently, the game was to have been published by Ubisoft. However, the Warner/Ubisoft partnership was summarily annulled last February, which is something, it seems, that the DVD's producers may never have been informed of.
Included in the 10-minute featurette is a conversation with then-ubi.com Vice President of Development Joe Ybarra. As one staffer on the product's support team told GameSpot today, "This blows for us." Another staffer close to the project pointed out that the DVD "was in postproduction before the [Ubisoft/Warner Bros.] shakeout happened."
As it turns out, a rushed second pressing of the disc (with the Ubisoft staffer excised from the disc) is in the works. Matrix collectors who want to hold on to a bit of unintended history have been forewarned.

Anyone else get the feeling you were watching a unit of Elementals from MecWarrior take up arms there at the dock? Thought it was cool, hope to see things like that in the MW movie comming up soon.

I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

my fucking god, i just wanted to walk out of the theatre when i heard that bullshit.
why the fuck did they imply that stupid fucking "little engine that could" character into the movie? That alone, if you discard all the other bullshit scenes from the movie, is enough to ruin it

Two would have been a good movie if they followed it up with the 3rd one, which they ruined horribly. The 2nd opened up a lot of intiresting possibilitys that could have taken place in the 3rd, but they just took that one down into the shitter as well.Trek wrote:You have 2 and 3 mixed up or put down the crack pipeWinnow wrote:Matrix 1 was outstanding
Matrix 2 was entertaining
Matrix 3 sucked horribly
They REALLY should have just ended it at the 1st one, it would have had a lot higher of an impact on cinimatic history if they left it alone, but the sequels left a horrible stain over it.

It's from one of the shorts in Animatrix. (The skateboarder kid in school) Supposedly that kid free'd himself from the matrix because he "believed" in Neo. (Also why in part 2 he tells Neo that he saved him, and Neo replied that he saved himself)Xzion wrote:"neo, i believe!"

But in the end, yeah, there was no point to it. As apparently there was no point to 'The Last Exile' little girl.
