I missed about 30 mins of the 2 hour premier but I guess I didn't miss to much of the main story but am confused on 1 thing so far. WTF is up with the doctors and staff?

One minute they act like they know there stuff the next they dance around and sing in the OR. 1 guy seems like he doesn't know anything about medicine and the assistant passes out in almost every scene.

Did I actually miss an explanation as to where all these guys are from or how they came here or they all just possesed from time to time?

I only caught the first episode but it seemed to me that the hostpital was either new or financially in trouble. That would explain the less than professional demeanor of the general staff. The guy that faints in almost every operation I figured was an intern of sorts or someone who's in the business just to make a lot of money. They're probably the bottom of the barrel for doctors in the city. This is just an assumption I have though as I've missed the last couple episodes. For all I know they may just be acting like that for the sake of the wierdness of the show.

In the danish version, the fainting girl is a medicine student, same is Elmer (the creepy guy with a fixation for older women).
For the singing, go figure, maybe they figured it worked in Ally, and trying here.
