PS2 - Best Online Games

Post by Siji »

Curious what some favorite games to play online with the PS2 are.. I know Madden 200x and various other sport games, but how about non-sporting ones?

Why? I wasn't aware there were different vintages of PS2...
"There is at least as much need to curb the cruel greed and arrogance of part of the world of capital, to curb the cruel greed and violence of part of the world of labor, as to check a cruel and unhealthy militarism in international relationships." -Theodore Roosevelt

the first ps2's manufactured (Im too lazy to flip mine over and read the SPH code) had shitty dvd drives in them that do a horrible job reading dual layered discs. CoN is one of the few dual layered dvd games.

If the bottom of your PS2 has 10 screws, it's a PS2 v1-3 (Older). If it has 8 screws, it's a PS2 v4-7 (Newer). Supposedly there's a v9-10 out or coming out, as well.

Learned all about that when putting one of these on:

By the way, that thing works great.

Xenosaga I believe, is another of the few dual-layered DVD games.

There's a hacked version available that you can copy to two separate DVDs and play. It works great for single player. You switch DVDs near the end of Act 2 but I believe the online play won't function after copying it. I'm not sure how online works for PS2s so if you only need a code or something perhaps it will.
