Weird Guilty Pleasures

Post by Lalanae »

On a local radio station people were talking about their guilty pleasures (food), and several of them were unusual food combinations (such as one guy loves Pick A Peppa sauce on cream cheese with Wheat Thins).

Anyone want to share some yummy, but unconventional favorites?

I don't eat this anymore, but a friend turned me onto dipping KFC potato wedges into a side of their gravy. Its really yummy!

Potato wedges into gravy doesn't sound weird to me at all. Hell I even do it. My weird thing that I've done forever is eating rice with bacon cut up into like half inch pieces.

Pepper sauce and cream cheese on wheat thins owns! Though sweet red pepper jelly and cream cheese on wheat thins owns even more. I'd have to say that's one of my guilty pleasures food-wise for sure.

Oooooh, something I used to do as a kid but stopped when it got too sweet for me was to pour chocolate syrup on baguettes. That's some weird stuff for ya.

How about a sundried tomato (the kind in oil) with a big dollop of cream cheese on it?

Peanut butter and syrup on pancakes and waffles. The chunkier the better!

Cream cheese and no bean chili simmered to a mix and served hot with cheddar cheese and tortilla chips.

Hot dogs with a slice of Kraft American cheese, catsup, relish, onions, mustard and a sprinkling of Curry. (probably the wierdest)

Its the gravy that they sell with the mashed potatoes. I've gotten weird looks and "JUST the gravy?" a couple times.

Just remembered one of mine: sweet pickles and Doritos. Even better with cream cheese.

weird. fries and gravy are like a staple food up here. I've been to a lot of states that sell fries and gravy as well.

It isn't strange at all. You can go to just about any old style diner and order dirty fries, aka fries with gravy on them.

Weird, must be a regional thing because no one around here has heard of brown gravy on french fries.
