Want Moorgard's old job?

As most of you know, Coray recently announced he would no longer be playing EverQuest. We wanted to thank Coray for the many articles he's written for us in the last six months and for keeping readers interested and posting.

Though he mentioned the possibility of continuing to write about the game, we think its best for the site that we have someone writing who still plays and enjoys doing so. Kohath and I unfortunately don't have the time to post articles on a regular basis (as those of you wondering who I am can attest to) but we intend to keep Mobhunter going strong. We have one new writer lined up who should be making his first appearance soon, but we would like to try a new twist by having multiple writers supplying a variety of viewpoints.

If you write well and feel you can contribute to Mobhunter and the EQ community, please drop us a line. Send us a writing sample of 300-500 words of the kind of story our site usually runs (either an editorial or news roundup). If we feel you could be the right fit for the job we'll get in touch and discuss the possibility of you becoming a regular contributor.

The job doesn't pay anything. Pretty much the best you can hope for is that not everyone will hate you. But if you have interesting things to say about EQ and can say them well, this just might be the place for you.

IMO this is good news for Mobhunter. Moorgard was one of the best writers covering the EQ scene. Coray was a bitter hack that just ranted, and it became obvious that he was losing touch with the game and the community. Mobhunter was heading downhill fast a la Lum the Mad after Lum's departure.

Personally, I kinda liked Coray's insite on certain topics.

I did, however, find myself reading MH much less regularly since Moorgard left.

I just hope that they get someone particularly witty to write for them now. Some of the people from VV could do exceptionally well in a position like that.
