Anyone know the easiest way to connect a vcr to a computer so I can turn vcr tapes into digital videos?
I have a Geforce 4 Ti 4600 graphics card with a S-Video connector on it. The card came with all that Win Producer software and what not. I tried going straight from the vcr (not S-video, the yellow/white connectors) to the video card but can't figure out how to get the input started. Do I need another device?
I have 100 gigs of hard drive space that I want to save my favorite shows after recording and stripping all the commercials.

I don't have digital cable and my wife hates what I have already so I am not expecting it anytime soon.
I have another vcr in the house with a S-video connector. Can you connect straight between the 4600 and it with no other hardware necesary? Do I need any special software to "detect" the vcr?
