video card question

Post by Sionistic »

i installed a demo for deus Ex2, when i tried to run it, it said
"Engine requires card with pixel shader 1.1 or greater to run"
now i see this and think its most likely my card (geforce4 64mb) since its getting a bit old, but I remember installing that new directx that was needed for Halo pc, and I remember people not liking the update.
Pretty much, is there a chance it has to do with the directx and not my card?

I'm pretty sure a GF4 has a 1.1 pixel shader, I would try a different directx.

Is it the 4mx? If I remember correctly, DE:IW doesn't support the mx line.
