Arnold is taking office today. Personally, I'm happy to see someone who's not a career politician taking office, and I'm less concerned with the Kennedys behind him than I would be if it were a Jessie Ventura. Plus, his economic reform plan seems sound on paper.

We'll see where things lie with him in a few months after he has had to make the tough decisions and at the same time spending less. Will he stick to his guns? We'll see shortly. It's one thing to make promises in fancy sound bites and catchy one liners, it's quite another to deliver on those promises after you have had a chance to study the books.
Sounds like the democrats are already lining up to fight him in the senate. I am not a californian but I will be watching to see what happens. I agree it is nice to see a non-politician in power. That he is already rich might make him less corruptable. I think Arnold is there for the power though, not the money.
It was cool to see him repeal that car tax. It will also be interesting to see if he can do anything about the budget out there.
