Sleeper Dead?

Post by Penlog »

Well, im sure anyone who was on tonight heard about the Sleeper attempt on Rallos Zek. From what i heard they got him all the way down to 24% and then the Gm Reset the zone and despawned him. This is bs, wtf is Sony/Verant going to these days having to prevent mobs from being killed. Anyhow heres the screenshot of it from one of the guilds that was there:

http://dimi.cafe.de/EQ/pics/sleeper.gif

Pretty nice pic. Oh well I thought it was bs, the gm reset the zone. I dont care if he wasn't meant to be killed its like putting a bone in front of a dogs face but telling him he cant have it, he jumps up at the bone, and the GM pulls it away! DAMN THEM! *rant off* lol ;)

damn it looks like a old school plane of fear raid from that old unforgiven guild. like 600 pets. so what is the strategy just let him waste melee rounds on pets? doesn't he hit for like 5000 or something retardedly mcquaid-like like that?

Did they use the target exploit like the Taiwanese people or was it actually the awakened Sleeper? The two of them are quite different.

I'm sure like only 2 people here know what the "target exploit like the Taiwanese people" happens to be.

To me, it seems very, very unlikely that a server with only Kunark and Velious would be able to take a mob that hits for 7k reguardless of how many clickers they have. But the pictures are there, decide for yourself.

I find it very unlikely as well that this was a legit kill for the same reasons pointed out by Vetiria.

The Rallos server "kill" was supposedly legit though. They had about 160 people from what I heard, and when the Sleeper was at 27 ( ? maybe 24 or so ) percent the zone was reset, although the GM at first said that Kerafyrm despawned and it was scripted like that. Then later admitted to resetting the zone or some crap. In any case there was a Lead GM watching the entire fight and said it was a legit encounter, no exploits involved. Just mass rezzing.

It was legit.

They killed him entirely with: Pets, Manaburn, Lifeburn, and melee ranged-attack (Although there were a few brave melee sticking it out under his belly) . So sad that he was despawned though.

* as a side note: There seems to be a very credible theory that the zone resets automatically when sleeper is awakened - about 3 hours after it happens. If the zone reset while the Sleeper happened to still be alive (Yes, he has that many goddamn hp), then he would reset along with it (Meaning - bye bye).

Pretty pictures to be sure... But it doesn't explain the "target exploit" to anyone not already in the know.

old sleeper hit for 2k with a hell of a lot less hp. SUPPOSEDLY the Taiwan guild got this version. Still the way he ripped ass in his original form I don't see it as possible for people in Velious gear to get him to 90%, much less 17%.

RZ Sleeper was buffed, massively.

Our Jap guilds of old would have put them to shame with the exploits they know!

The people in question, they attacked/woke him after last patch, where MOBS would regen backwards, and kill themselves. Hence how they could get him down to 14% in 1 hr.

The zek server was doing it legit for realz yo.

nothing like hanging out with 150 of your closest friends and killing an EQ mob.

i think the true drama must have been just how many people would drop to lvl 64 after their 50th click in.

Heh, lots of people were racking up a deathcount in the 60s and higher. At least they restored all the xp lost from the first attempt's deaths

I already had that! My assist key looks like:

/hidec all
/assist whoever

Keeps my combat area clutter free.
