what are you trying to burn, just a standard audio CD?

and what is the problem?

the CDs won't play on your stereo?

or you can't get the CD to even burn?

Excellent question. I have been wondering that myself lately because I need to burn some stuff and I lost my burn software. I was using Roxio EZCD Platinum. I heard something about CloneCD or some shit like that. If people could please post what they use and trust that'd be great. Also, please say if it is a free download.

I just bought the goddam burner. My DVD player plays MP3s so i was just going to burn a shitload of them onto a disk for my listening pleasure. Unfortunately the shitty software that came with it will not recognize the CDRW as a recording device. I downloaded all the updates for the software (roxio EZ CD) and still nothing. I also get an error when I first start the software. Yes, I have reinstalled and re-updated.

I'm grabbing for straws here...every demo out there has severe restrictions on it. I don't want anything fancy...just something that works n stuff.

Piracy is illegal though! You will all burn in hell's inferno for your blatant copyright infringement!

BlindWrite

It rocks. Great software. Does everything you need for making backup copies of PC and game console software. Easy to use.

Edit: nm, Blindwrite is for duplicating entire CDs or images. Get Nero or something. They all suck equally bad.

Out of the compilation ones.. (ezcd, etc) I find that Nero is probably the one that sucks the least, and has the most options. Probably best to go with that one. I use it all the time to burn pron vcd's for sex0rz! err..

Get Nero, easy enough to spend a few bucks for legitimacy.

Nero can also converts mp3's to audio tracks for use in older cd players.
Great features, solid performance and Nero works with almost all
cd-burners.

Thanks for the suggestions...Nero is working just fine. 50 bucks seems steep for burn software, but it's the 4th one ive tried, and the only one to work.
