Bob Ryan nailed it perfectly on 'The Sports Reporters' this past sunday (paraphrasing): who do you root for, the team that represents a city with zero passion for baseball, or the hated Yankees? He chose the Yankees. I choose to banish baseball back to the abyss I summoned it from when I got duped into thinking that the Red Sox were finally going to make my mom happy and win it this year. I'll be damned if I could pick either team to root for, and I likely will not be watching much of the series.

i think this world series has definitely also illustrated that baseball should be played with National League rules.
The managers have had to make a lot of decisions about
And how about Soreano going into the tank LOL. Do they not throw sliders in the AL? how the fuck does this guy hit 39 home runs?

I will never cheer for a Florida team ever. I'd rather cheer for the Cowboys.. *shudder*
And people can struggle Voronwe heh, you can be the world's best at something and yet go weeks struggling. Just look at some of the pitching, a guy can own one week yet be pulled after getting one out the next week.

I heard he was getting batting tips from Andruw Jones.
Really happy to see Pudge(possibly the greatest overall catcher in baseball history) get a championship in his career. Also nice to see him give a big FU to all the people that kept saying he couldn't handle a pitching staff, I guess it was the craptastic Ranger's pitching staff that made him look bad.
Oh and seeing the Yankee lose is nice too

I grew up watching Johny Bench, Carlton Fisk, and Thurmon Munson at the catcher position: I would certainly put Pudge in their class. Congrats to the fish.
BTW, the best part about the Marlins being in the world series was that Olindo Mare went 0-2 (with one blocked) kicking off the still un-sodded infield last Sunday against the Pats.
