In the most recent heist, the armed and masked man entered the lobby of the Wachovia Bank on Woodstock Road in Roswell. He waved a small hand gun over his head as he approached the teller.
I used to live in Roswell before I moved back up here last year. I banked with Wachovia. Not that particular branch though, I used the one on Nesbitt Ferry.

Anyway the fact he is getting away with so many robberies is not that amazing to me...my branch was robbed by a guy on a bicycle twice in the same fucking week...the "Bicycle bandit" had quite a string of robberies himself.

Hell I dunno if they ever caught the guy, this could be the same guy who just thought "Damn this shit is so easy I might as well celebrate beforehand from now on".

Old friend of mine - who was one of the weirdest, most fucked up people you will ever meet - was stuck in a rut. He'd followed his parents wishes and gotten a Good Solid Education...as a trainee in a wholesale paint store. Now, selling paint wasn't what he wanted to do for the rest of his life - he desperately wanted to get back to school, but he couldn't afford it.

Cue weirdness and completely crazy thoughts: "How do I get myself in a situation where I have all the time in the world to read, study and write? I know! I'll get arrested and go to jail!"

He attempted to rob a post office with the explicit purpose of getting caught. This far, his plan might have worked, if he hadn't been stupid enough to tell the judge exactly why he did what he did.

He was sentenced to psychiatric evaluation and ended up spending a couple of months on a psych ward.

Apparently the guy can do this without bragging to his mates.. in a public place.. while standing next to a police officer =)

Seriously though, most criminals are caught because they're stupid, clumsy or braggarts. The rest are all fitted up because the cops don't like them ;)

Look at Dahmer; killed 15 men from 1978 to 1991. Had TWO victims escape and find police before he was caught; the cops returned the first one to Dahmer because he didn't speak english.

I've been reading that most competently executed armed robberies on banks go unsolved. Hmm, my chances of getting off scot free are pretty high if I planned it out good. Man I should give it a try.

Kyoucan, if you decide to rob banks, you should come state side to do it.

I think our police are probably less competent, our judicial system lets most people off or out of jail with minimal time, and I hear you get free cable tv.

Nah, do it in Canada, eh? Nothing funnier than watching those Royal Canadian Mounted Police falling off their horses while in pursuit.

Besides, you can add some insurance to your getaway by tying a girl named Nell to some train tracks along your escape route. The RCMP will have to stop to help her.
