Any other Stargate SG-1 fans out there?

Post by Estrosiath »

Hi guys!
No big post here. I was just wondering if there were other fans of Stargate out there. I must say I recently bought the first five seasons on DVD ( season 5 only available through amazon.co.uk, if you were wondering ), and watched every single episode through again. And it has reminded me how awesome that show is!

Fan

:)
Akaran of Mistmoore, formerly Akaran of Veeshan
I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

Yea we try to catch it as well. What I have noticed though is it seems they have some REALLY great episodes and some pretty poor ones... a lot like Enterprise which we also watch but are sometimes disappointed with.

I bought the first season on DVD but then I realized that it has been out for a long long time now and I would never be able to afford nor justify buying all the seasons. Not to mention how much time it would take to watch them all.

(now I might do that for Babylon V though)

Tried to watch that show once. I kept expecting MacGyver to make a weapon out of a tampon tube, paperclips, chewing gum, and a pen.

I love SG-1, and Burke its funny that you mention that. SciFi had this behind the scenes thing for SG-1, and at one point in time the girl, Amanda Tapping just yells at Richard Dean Anderson about him being McGyver, and why the hell he couldnt get them out with a rubber band and a paper clip. It was rather amusing.

Mars Bar, Duct Tape and swiss army knife - all the tools you need to seal a chemical plant that's about to explode.

One of my instructors did some CG work on Babylon V... says it's some of his most shameful work, lol.
