I'll try to find the article and post a link, but there was supposedly a company in Germany that formatted 6000 workstations and installed linux after getting hit with MSBlaster and nachi/welchia this week.
one thing that pisses me off about media coverage of these virii the last couple weeks is the word "microsoft and windows" are not mentioned in the reports.
It is only machines running Windows that are vulnerable in these cases. I think that is a pretty important piece of the story myslef
It has been mentioned in all the reports and interviews with experts I've read in Norwegian papers. Dunno about American ones really, since I've mostly skipped them due to already having read the Norwegian versions.
The reason that Microsoft products are the only ones are at risk is because they are the most prolific company. If Linux was the standard, rest assured that they will get attacked and viruses designed for those systems.
The whole fact is that Microsoft made available the patch to take care of MSblaster, yet it is the lazy and stupid fucks across the world who did not implement the patch that has caused the problems and oppurtunities for attacks.
