Ok, someone loaned this one to me last night.
Besides some crappy editing that messed up the pace of the movie, the major stand out to me was Connie Nielson and her southern accent, or more precisely her southern accent 50% of the time. Half the scenes she has it, half she doesn't.
It didn't even bother me that it was a particularly bad southern accent, I just want it to be a consistant southern accent.
Doesn't the directer notice that sort of thing during filming? Don't the other actors notice? Doesnt anyone notice??? Sure filming goes on over a 3 month to 9 month period or longer sometimes, but damn, it's a pretty glaring thing once you splice it all together.
The movie was so-so, Travolta was charming as ever, Jackson did his thing well as usual, but GAH, Nielson (great job in Gladiator) just flubbed here and nobody seemed to notice.
I get wiggy about details.
