I signed the petition. I figure the SW movies can't get any worse.http://www.msnbc.com/news/930657.asp?vts=071520031545
‘Star Wars’ star?
Will the infamous “Star Wars Kid” have his moment on the silver screen?
A homemade video of a 15-year-old from Quebec using a broomstick as a light saber became a favorite on the Internet, and now thousands of Star Wars Kid fans are petitioning LucasFilm, asking that the boy get a cameo in Episode III of the series.
“’NSync members were considered as potential extras,” wrote one petition signer. “This kid deserves a speaking role!!!” Noted another; “He’s waaaaay better than Jar Jar.”

They will never put him in more then say a background guy in make-up in a large crowd.
He is too young, fat, and dorky to be on screen kicking ass, he wasn't that coordinated with the broom, and he has no acting experience as far as we know.
But I gave him my vote anyway....
Well actually in Clone Wars there was that scene with the "padawans" the kids with light sabers and helmets swinging at little balls....if they did a scene like that with older kids maybe he could do that.
It would be funnier though if he was a jedi flunkie told to sweep out a closet and he had a broom....that would be the ultimate cameo.

It would be amusing to see him in it because it would bring back a bit of the campiness that made EP 4/5/6 so successful.
Ep 1/2 have been complete and utter dog shit. In my eyes for two reasons
1) The actors are just trying too hard. The first 3 worked because the actors had fun and didn't take it all that seriously, unlike the last 2.
2) George Lucas is a complete and total dipshit. The guy needs to stick to producing the work, and letting people who can actually write and direct do their job. It's plainly obvious he's been out of the loop too long, and he's stated time and again he hates both directing and writing and prefers only producing. So why the hell has stuck his fingers and royally fucked up the Star Wars movies is beyond me.
I still can't get over the interview he did on TV where he equated Star Wars to a religion, and that he must teach the children the rights and wrongs, and a bunch of other Star Wars zen bullshit. Almost made me puke.
Death to Lucas!

The poor bastards have had to do all their acting in blue rooms with George responding to every difficulty with "we'll fix it in post!" (including the script, right George?1) The actors are just trying too hard. The first 3 worked because the actors had fun and didn't take it all that seriously, unlike the last 2
Good businessman. Poor movie maker2) George Lucas is a complete and total dipshit. The guy needs to stick to producing the work, and letting people who can actually write and direct do their job. That would rake in the bucks. of course Hammil would be up for it, not like his carrer went past B movies. In all the interviews i have seen with Ford, he ALWAYS gets asked if he would do another SW movie, and his answer is always no, and never gives an explanation. He must really hate Lucas or had a bad experience on set or something cause its not like he would not be paid well.kyoukan wrote:Lucas needs to get Harrison Ford and Mark Hammil back and make 3 Episode 7-9, and for fuck's sake hire a real screenwriter and stop doing it yourself.
Star Wars kid can play Luke's son, Marcel Skywalker.
Anyone ever heard of Ford giving an explanation as to why he would never do another SW?

Lucas is obsessed with the look of things. He picked the stiff little mannequin for Ep. 1 because he looked like Lucas imagined Anikin would. He picked the older kid for the same reason. He DEFINITELY didn't do any real screen tests, because neither one of those cheesedicks can act worth a shit.
Mark Hamill not only looked the part, he sold himself as Luke. I felt his pain when Darth lopped his hand off and told him who his daddy was. Whenever Anakin v.2 tries to emote, he just ends up looking like he's trying to solve quadratic equations.

I glanced over this thread and might have missed this, but a few weeks ago I was browsing some fan site for Star Wars (Theforce.net) and saw a news blurb that on the official star wars webcam (you have to pay starwars.com), someone on the set of EP3 was holding up a sign that said "'name of star wars kid' In Episode III? It's possible! We love you 'star wars kid'"

I got laid less when i used a Pentium. I talk about my AMD and how it has 8 data channels instead of 6 and why AMD's QuantiSpeed Architecture easily out-performs Intel's Hyperthreading technology. Suffice to say that it gets the chicks all hot and flustered...

Hamill makes his living mostly doing voice work for animated shit. He's actually one of the better voice actors working right now. When most people find out that it was him doing a voice in something, they are quite surprised because they never sound like his natural voice at all.
He did the joker in the batman animated series, for instance.

Why does she have to be kidding? Harness the power of the internet and look things up for yourself!

I don't know what canadian laws are like but if I was that kid I would sue the little bastards too. And it would be for a lot more than $250,000. The kid has been going through hell since he did this for a class project. The high school asholes fucked him over and they should have to pay for it. I would probably go after the sites that posted it as well. Might as well make some money off the whole thing. I can't imagine what this kid has had to go through at his school. High school was a shit storm of hell as it is without having something like this happen.
