I have HALO 1. It's actually the reason I picked up an X-box, but honestly I don't find it all that compelling. I mean, it's impressive and all, but for similar gameplay, I find Planetside far more rewarding. Then again, I'm currently addicted to a certain *cough*volleyball game*cough* but I've nearly finished it.Lohrno wrote:Maybe I'm getting old, but Halo just doesn't do anything for me...
The video was impressive, but the game looks linear, like the first one, and there just seems to be a more animated portion of the world that is unexplorable.
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.
halo is the shit, the plot/storyline is great, but nothing beats getting together with 6+ friends and oging all at it
weve even gone so far as using wierd vehicle tricks to get ABOVE the world in sidewinder, had to do wierd standing on each others heads + banshee/tank ramp/skating
im really looking forward to the online capabilities of halo2 in particular, see how we fare againts other halo pvpers

If you want to make sure that you get a copy of Halo 2 when it comes out you may want to reserve it now. As is at the store I work at we have 40 reservations for it already and it doesn't come out until February.

Looks incredible... hopefully this one will include more friendly fighting. Halo 1 had like three boards with help from the marines, the rest were completely solo. Adding others to fight for your cause makes things more interesting and realistic.

i was reading a review on halo2 yesterday, it seems that theyre adding tons more AI, like the alines/marines can drive vehicles themselves, so you can climb aboard, or just hang back, they also explained the alien AI a bit too, theyre upping that tons, like alines can leave the area theyre in to get reinforcements, or notify other alines in the area, or theyre more apt to notice bodies of theyre friends laying around
also, you can shoot down the covenant ships dropping off troops too, which seems nice
the alines/marines using vehicles seems real badass in particular, as far as gaming/strategic options
