Cool stuff at E3...

No holds barred discussion. Someone train you and steal your rare spawn? Let everyone know all about it! (Not for the faint of heart!)

Cool stuff at E3...

Post by Lohrno »

Okay, I thought I'd log in here since the floor is not open yet, and tell you guys what I thought was cool..

(Sorry I know I'm going to be flamed but I didn't go to the EQ booth yet...I'll try today...)

Lucasarts had a demo reel with some upcomming games...among them:
Secret Weapons over Normandy
A new Sam n Max game...

There will be a new SSX game but there was unfortunately no playable demo...

There was one other interesting thing in Kentia hall, it was like a game that reads biorhythms with these little 'lie detector' type things that attach to your fingers. To do some things in the game you needed to either relax, or focus on something.

That's about the top stuff I've seen... I'll also check out WoW...

Okay..I'm back from LA...after watching someone play WoW a little, it looks kind of like most other MMORPGS except with more shiny graphics. I did see them pull something out of the inventory and use it, which summoned like a cat thing they could ride around on like a horse.

I tried to get into SoE, and I must have checked like 100 of the show papers, but they all came up 'Access Denied'.

Final Fantasy XI looks pretty bad...they needed to hire better artists and probably designers.

Super Mario Kart Double Dash is a must have, and so is Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater.

I guess they didn't tell you folks at E3 about the biggest change coming for Sony. Well I'll tell you since it was confirmed yesterday evening. Sony announced this morning through it's regional representatives that they are boxing a network adapter into the new systems. (Hence why all PS2's are on sale atm.)

The network adapter is going to be included in the $199 package price so hence you get a $50 dollar accessory free now. If you don't own a PS2 atm you may want to get one while they are low in price or if you are seriously considering going online wait a few weeks when they add the network adapter into the packages. Just a little info :)

Being 2 feet away from Paula Abdul was probably better then most games I saw. While I was standing there watching her watch some stupid game(look out girls im a stalker!), I wanted to talk to her about all the times we had sex while I was growing up......Im sure she would have a hard time remembering since she didnt actually participate, but it could have been a fun conversation.

Ah cool, my Sony rep didn't tell me that this afternoon. She showed me a demo of Soul Caliber 2 though. I thought I was going to jizz myself in the middle of the store. Still haven't seen Spawn in action on the game yet though. Hope I get to soon :)

Adventure Games...

Post by Lohrno »

You know, it's a good sign that there is going to be a new Sam n Max, and a new Full Throttle (which was okay but pretty damned short). BUT I think something totally new has to happen to bring back adventure games. I don't think it's voice recognition either, but it sure would help...

Yes! I still laugh when I think about trying to solve one of the scenes while the rabbit kept yelling, "Get me the hell out of here!"

Great game. :)
