Bad Religion was the first concert I saw when I was 17. I saw them at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. It was a great time for me. They are great live band.

Bad Religion is definately a great band. They have been around for quite a while now and still have some great songs to give. :) And, if you like skate punk..Missing 23rd is the best thing since JFA(Jodie Foster's Army)! :)

I saw BR at Vans Warped Tour in LA last year. It was the crowning glory of that entire sunburn fest. They held the event in a parking lot, so everyone's standing on hot aphault all day.. But during the BR set, the Metal Mulisha MotoX crew started doing all sorts of stunts from ramps set behind the stage. It was really quite impressive. I was surprised how aged those guys have gotten. Greg Graffin looks like he could be my grandfather now, but DAYAM they still rocked the place. I highly recommend them to anyone who's ever liked punk music.

While on the topic, Greg wrote an excellent disertation called the Punk Manifesto that you can read off of badreligion.com. I recommend it to any of the youngins' here that think that bullshit like Blink182 or No Doubt are anything even closely relating to punk music.

No Doubt? Punk? *blink*

I don't think anyone ever claimed No Doubt was punk. :) Ska maybe, but more pop with a ska flavoring. Tragic Kingdom and their earlier work was really the only stuff that was even ska-ish ..

I got into a discussion with a friend from a local college about just that topic. Amazing that with a 180 IQ and attending one of the top schools in southern california, she insisted that No Doubt was a punk band.

Maybe she thinks they are punk cause their drummer is often times naked, and she equates that with Blink 182, whom she also thinks is punk. Therefore, if band members are naked, it must be punk!
