Got the following in an message from SoE and my account is indeed re-enabled. Not actually gonna play however it's interesting that they are also taking up these marketing ploys.

Yeah, I got that too...thing is, I have three accounts. 1 has been cancelled for a couple months now, and the other two have been cancelled but are not out of playing time yet. Wonder which is active...




*edit* It was for the account which has been cancelled for a few months now.

You know, this kind of thing is real appealing for an ex player right up until you start attacking something.

Then suddenly the whole "oldness" of the game reminds you of why you quit.

Attack stuff, get loot. Attack stuff smartly with a group of friends, get nicer loot.

Fancier graphics but its still the same exhausted concept.

Thing is, they are getting real cheap. Wasn't three months ago they offered they very same thing for a full month, not a week. Cheap Bastards.

Me to! I am so excited I may have to go out of my way, find the EQ CD, reinstall, wait for the patches, figure out how to reset up my screen and Im good to go.
