pling a 40 Shaman?

Post by Midnyte_Ragebringer »

is it possible to Pl a 40 Shaman with a 65 rogue or 58 druid or 61 warrior?

And how the hell would I do it?

Would it be worth it to kill by a zone in and just zone out with the high level character just before death? or would the downtime from zoning all those times be not worth it?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the game related question.

i would think you could do it with the druid best, using the old thorns method. let the shaman pretend to be a melee, drop a pet, thorn that too.

or you could do it with the warrior holding agro while shm kills.

or you could let the shm do 51% of the damage, then drop a backstab on it.

i would think the druid method would be best, unless that DS change is really a PL nerf.

The DS change was a mistake that was corrected in the next patch. he druid is your best bet. Drop your best AC/HP buff, STR, Regen, and DS on the shaman and heal him as needed. For lower levels, you can even use your bear pet to help knock the edge off MoBs from levels 1-40ish.

Nothing beats a druid for PLing. Nothing.

Basically pleveling a shaman is cake. Get him to 45, you can do this in all sorta places. You can thorn a shaman to 45 in guk in no time flat with a druid. Once you hit 45 however, get yourself a JBB and a sidewinder joystick. Getting from 45 to 60 with JBB and if you can score your epic is a piece of cake. Can do 45 to 60 killing the shit at the zone in or basement in HS alone.

i would think lower guk would be good mid.

liveside should be totally empty. i'd probably try king or if that was too tough on your shm, then live tower.

I had really satisfactory PL times in Echo Caverns at the Taskmaster camp, plus you can collect guts for the EB neck in Katta

If you're taking the time to grab the shaman lvl 44 spell, dulak is fair.. loot makes up for it taking 3 hours to hit 43-44 with a paladin doing all the damage and grouped with the shamette..

That's the route I'm going, btw. Soon as my shamette hit 43 this afternoon I immedately ran to dulak to start work on that spell, logged on Akaran, grouped.. didn't bother with anything, really.. you do all the killing, the gimp gets all the exp, works like a beautiful charm.

edit: I am probably going to run her to Kaesora once she gets that ****ing spell component from Dulak, then into HS / ToFS / CoM / Chardok / ect.. shitload of places you can go to do things like this.

well i spent 20k to twink the little bitch and ran her down to lower guk. Which took me forever since I didn't grow up in guk, because my first character was druid.

didn't get time to try it out yet, but I'm camped there. If I stayed any longer on my gimps my GL would kicked the crap outta me :)

Of course the druid is best. But don't count out the rogue and warrior. At your level, you can group together. Use the shammy to buff and heal between fights, and just have the melee wipe out everything in the zone. Either should be able to do Seb or HS with the shammy along to heal. This is how I use my main to PL folks, but he is just worthless til they hit 43 and can group with a 65.

Shaman heals totally chew at 40.

Think I'm wrong? Superior Heal is at 53(?) with Stoicism (640, mini torpor) at 44.. it's the best heal they get until 58. At best you're looking at Greater Healing and Cholorplast at 40... I'm not even bothering usingmy shamette's heals when grouped with Akaran. KEI + Supernal Cleansing = happy, healthy paladin.

Wouldn't try it for a warrior unlesss your shaman's mana pool > combined of Foh. =p

That's no excuse, biatch! Masteen thrived in Guk, and I've PL'd a couple twinks there often enough that he's maz KOS to live and dead frogs.

Rogue is probably the best way to get a caster from 40 to low 50s. Go to Guk or even better to Nurga. Nurga has the exp bonus and you can go nonstop. There is also a safe spot you can park the shaman down in one of the big rooms where you will never gain agro unless you cast on a mob or attack it. With the haste and buffs, you should be able to get at least a few levels a night.

Mid, use Farmer M :P but to be honest I think you use F. just as well since they can group and get xp together and l guk should be green to him. And next time you wanna spend loads of pp, I totally need to borrow some! :P

Actualy the Thurgadin Entrance bridge is a good place for this... All the mobs are green to a 65 warrior and i PLed my shamy fro level 40-48 on the bridge. just my warrior and shammy healing.

So using this method the level 40 shaman would be grouped with the 61/65 meele and would receive the exps?

Being a 56 Shaman who was level 30, only 4 months ago (noone PL'ed me just leveled my ass off)...

I would definitely say that a druid PL'ing the shaman in Lower Guk is your best bet. My fastest levels where from 44 to 52 in lower guk. I didn't know how nice the xp mod in guk was so I never went there earlier in my leveling. I would say a druid should be able to PL a shaman to 52 from level 40 EASILY in lguk. The only problem is going to be with people faction AE'ing which is a bitch. Just make sure that shaman and dog both have DS's and make sure the shaman slows. KEI on the druid and the shaman would definitely speed things up.

Good luck man.
