I have two comps that I blame Grokster for ruining. However, Countless CDs and bootleg movies are teh win.

Pandora's Box has been opened. They cannot stop it, they can only hope to contain it. Better yet, they should alter thier marketing and business model to accommodate it.

No one DLs a 800 meg shitty copy of LotR to watch on thier computer for 2.5 hours. Those same people will be the first in line when the deluxe edition hits the store shelves.

I download movies that I'd like to watch, but I assume will suck.

So I can't say I will go buy the DVD when it hits the shelves, but then again...I wouldn't have anyway...

Moral of the story? Don't make crap-ass movies.

But would you rent it?

Theft is theft. If it a crappy movie and you won't want to give them your money then don't. But thinking that because it is a crappy movie some how justifies stealing it is just silly. If you want to steal, then by all means do so, just be honest about what you are doing and don't try to justify yourself.
