Internet Radio Stations

I'm particularly fond of the punk/ska section, but they have a whole mess of genres represented.

http://www.xroxx.com

Punk, ska, alternative rock type stuff.

House, Trance, EuroDance, Classical

http://www.rantradio.com

Industrial rock... angry music, but good!

http://schpydurx.com/index.html

Movie scores... pretty cool if you give it a chance.

The Katt: Oklahoma's Pure Rock Station....

Don't laugh, I live in Southern Ca and have been listening to this station on and off for almost 3 years. Most of time I heard new music a good 6 months before our local "World Famous KROQ" starting playing it.

A word of warning tho..the mid day guy Greg Zoobeck tends to like some of the older stuff...ACDC and Lynyrd Skynrd type stuff.

http://www.katt.com/

Here is the Pure Rock 20 for 6-30-2002, with current postion listed first, last week's position and the number of spaces the song moved up or down on the list.

I want to shoot myself every time I hear most of those songs played on the radio... the stations down here beat them to death.

I don't listen to the radio in my car much anymore if I can help it.. need to get XM radio.

At home, I usually listen to the internet stations or to the music on my digital cable. :D

16 3 -13 PUDDLE OF MUDD "BLURRY"
15 12 -3 NICKLEBACK Whatever nickelback song the dj feels like spinning
14 13 -1 NICKLEBACK Whatever nickelback song the dj feels like spinning
13 -- -- POD "BLOOM"
12 14 2 PUDDLE OF MUDD "BLURRY"
11 10 -1 POD whatever their new one is
10 7 -3 BLINK 182 whatever song they feel like playing
9 4 -5 CHAD KROEGER "HERO"
8 15 7 CREED "ONE LAST BREATH"
7 16 9 SYSTEM OF DOWN "TOXICITY"
6 9 3 BLINK 182 whatever song they feel like playing
5 11 6 PUDDLE OF MUDD "BLURRY"
4 2 -2 STAIND "FOR YOU"
3 6 3 STAIND "ITS BEEN A WHILE"
2 5 3 PUDDLE OF MUDD "DRIFT AND DIE"
X X X RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS "BY THE WAY"

Actually I'd kill to have a radio station with a playlist like that around here. :\

All that stuff is seen as "over the edge" by most people I know..

Some of the stations up there that i got to work were actually pretty good.

I stopped listening to swedish radio a few years ago, all our stations are those "repeat.same.fucking.lame.backstreetboys.brittney.songs.over.and.over.again.till.people.get.braindamaged"
FUCKSHITBITCHASS radio!!

We had a decent station a few years back called "Bandit Radio 105.5" with a guy from the US having a show called Dave in the Morning, i always enjoyed waking up when that guy was on the air.
Bandit Radio was sold/merged with some other lameass radio station and "Dave" does advertising for fucking Canon printers these days...

Are these Internet Radio stations?

Post by DJChuck »

lol No. They are simply links to RL radio stations. All but SHOUTcast that is. What they ment by "INTERNET RADIO" is a radio station that you can listen to from your PC. I happen to have one, and think you all should check it out! http://www.subzeroradio.com Out with the old, In with the cold.

BTW, if you are interested in becoming a internet DJ, we are currently hiring!
It's not that bad.... You could be doing something else right now!
