Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

Post by Somali »

Anyone seen this? I saw the original and it was pretty cool. I haven't heard anything bad or good about bloodlust though.. Just looking for feedback.

Bought it...wished I rented it. I classify myself as a pretty good judge of anime, and frankly, this one ruins that which the original built. The story is weak, and the plot is regurgitation of the original. All in all, I give it 2 of 4 stars...maybe a little less.

All the same, if you are a D fan, then buy/rent it to see it.

Hey now, I'm an anime fan somewhat, not hardcore but I watch a lot~

VHDB was good imo, good animation ( far far better than the first ), fairly good voices considering the average bullshit you get from english dubbing, good plot, over-all good. 8) Maybe the first had a better story - but this one is still good.

Personally, I don't buy DvDs ( except LotR~ ) - definately worth renting.

...Of course it has better animation, the original is pretty friggin old. Even so, it had a lot more style in some parts. That being said, I didn't really care for it much.

I was entertained by Bloodlust. Especially when they're on the bridge at dawn, shooting crossbow bolts into the vampire while he was burning up, and making fun of him.

I wouldn't buy it. I did go out and buy Blood, though. Probably shouldn't have, but wow that style of animation is amazing.
