Brought my Xbox One with me to visit family...

...and I forgot both my game disks at home, 700 miles away.

The irony that Microsoft's original vision for the platform would've made this a non-issue is not lost on me.

Sucks so many people whined about something that would have been a good thing. A simple connection to the internet vs an ancient tech hard disk.

At least your Drivatar lives on to cause havok in my races!

I was about 70 miles away and stuck in Montreal traffic when I realised the games were back home. I may re-buy digitally and trade in the hard copies when I get back home.

Why not blame Microsoft for not sticking to their VISION then. I meant the console would have tanked harder than the Wii U if it was released as announced back in May or whenever it was but hey at least you wouldn't need disks!

Or.... If you buy shit digital then it a non-issue so your statement of "a simple connection to the internet vs an ancient tech hard disk" doesn't even factor into it. Nobody is forcing you to buy a physical copy. If you choose to then you live with the limitations that's pretty straightforward. Or you can sit and whine about the whiners. Whiner.

Just buy digital then. I'll take my discs any day over handing the rights of my games over to MS to manage as they see fit.

I can confirm that a game already installed from a disk doesn't need to be re-downloaded when bought digitally.
