I was about 70 miles away and stuck in Montreal traffic when I realised the games were back home. I may re-buy digitally and trade in the hard copies when I get back home.

Why not blame Microsoft for not sticking to their VISION then. I meant the console would have tanked harder than the Wii U if it was released as announced back in May or whenever it was but hey at least you wouldn't need disks!

Nobody is forcing you to buy a physical copy. If you choose to then you live with the limitations that's pretty straightforward. Or you can sit and whine about the whiners. Whiner.

Just buy digital then. I'll take my discs any day over handing the rights of my games over to MS to manage as they see fit.

I can confirm that a game already installed from a disk doesn't need to be re-downloaded when bought digitally.
