Hard Drive Problem

Post by Sylvus »

Windows 7 stopped recognizing one of my hard drives. I have two physical drives, a 500GB that I keep my OS and some applications and games on, and a 1.5TB that I keep data on. It was working fine earlier today, then I rebooted and while Windows boots up just fine, I no longer have a D: drive. I go into BIOS and it appears that it still recognizes the drive, but try as I might I can't seem to get Windows to see it. Any ideas on what I should try?

Any noise coming from the drive at all? Clicking or such? It is spinning?

It is spinning. I verified by removing the power and SATA cables from it, booting my machine, and then reconnecting them while it had power. I've tried a different SATA cable in a different SATA port, that didn't do much.
