Ghost Recon Future Soldier

Ive been playing the closed beta of this, and I'm very impressed. It's the first shooter that truly requires teamwork that I've played in a long time. It's a bit different from past ghost recon games, the maps aren't quite as big and the pace of the one game mode available in beta so far is a bit quicker, but I think it's a good move. Previous GR games were far too slow moving, it was mostly snipers laying around waiting for people to get bored and finally move so they could pick them off, so I'm glad they changed it up a bit.

There are a lot of ways to find out exactly where the enemy players are. If you stun someone you can hack their visor and see everyone on their team for a while, you'll be notified hen this is happening to a teammate, so it's in your best interest to go help them. There are also uav's and grenades that will show people in their blast radius, as well as little cameras you can place that will survey the surrounding area.

The graphics look real nice, and the cover system works real well. The gun customization is the best I've seen. You can switch out every part on a gun basically, down to the trigger, muzzle, etc.

The only real complaint I have so far is concerning frag grenades. They can be tossed really far and basically explode on impact. You see a sensor when one is near you, but most of the time you have no time to get away from it. They need to add a bit of a delay on them exploding. That's been a really cmon complaint so I'd imagine it will be addressed.

I'll definitely be playing this a lot on release.

The USB missle launcher that comes with the special edition is fucking badass!
