I'm incredibly stoked for this. Many times has this been attempted and shut down because it was just too difficult. With new age technology it should be doable. No trailer yet as shooting is starting in March. The cast looks to fit very well and the age differences are of course forgivable. I know it probably won't do the book justice in an way, but I'll be damned if I won't see this on opening day.

I'm with you on this. This was one of my most favorite books. I hope they do a passable job on it.
Re: Ender's Game
It can't possibly live up to the book but I hope it's a decent movie.

Re: Ender's Game
After looking at the cast, director and screenplay writer, I'm not exactly 'stoked' to see it.

Re: Ender's Game
That is my main reservation about this movie. Gavin doesn't exactly bring the best out of things. However, because he wrote the screenplay himself I have a little hope that he himself is a fan and will try to do what he can to keep it true to Ender's fans. The other reservation I have with this movie is that if it does well it will no doubt be continued. The only way to make this a multi-movie deal is to jump into Ender's Shadow series in my opinion. Which means they should take this time to shoot the movie from Ender's and Bean's perspective, which they most likely aren't doing. So, anything after this movie will almost surely be a failure.

Re: Ender's Game
Since I know the ending, my hype meter is significantly decreased. The actors/acting, special effects, or reviews need to be above average to get me to see this in theaters. I hope they pull it off, but I can't help but think this will be average at best. I hope I'm wrong!
