The Star Wars Holiday Special, not seen by many i gather.

A quite epic masterpiece.

Watch it here

Read about it, you have Leia singing at the end, Han Solo visiting Chewbackas brother Rumpy and whatnot, it has it all, great acting, singing and special-effects beside the riveting storyline. Even Boburt Fett and Bea Arthur is in it!

Man.. I remember when I was in Cubs, and we had the yearly father/son banquet, we'd sit there hoping the movie they played was Hardware Wars.

I remember very clearly seeing that holiday special, I was just shy of 5, and it's the first time I remember being like WTF watching something. I must have already been into Star Wars, because I was all excited and the only remotely interesting part was a cartoon bit that looked like it was drawn on cocktail napkins the night before.

I was 4 when I saw Star Wars in a drive-in. I still remember several scenes clear as day. Vader choking that guy at the very beginning, Luke and Leia swinging across the gap in the Death Star, and luke lightsaber training for the first time on the MF. Btw, when I got home that night, my dog had puppies. It's been pretty much the greatest day of my life.

I also remember the holiday special, but only 1 particular scene is in my head. None of the singing or stuff like that stands out at all. And Hardware Wars was played on HBO sometimes between shows I think? Anyway, I remember so much of my childhood so vividly that it really affects how I raise my two daughters.
