Serendipity

Post by Seebs »

In the spring of 2008 the wife and I had purchased three acres in a developing small neighborhood in rural Arkansas (I know that is redundant, but bear with me).

We went through a few floor plans and paid for a few architect mock ups - had a nice house all figured out. The neighborhood required at least a 3,000 SQFT home. So we were in this for the long haul.

the economy had not burst at this time and we had little worries about the little economic hiccups occurring at the time.

Well, as you may know, things began to change once she fell in love with her bowling partner (add Momma's Family, King of the Hill reference here) and the house building fell through and we sold the lot back.

Fast forward to this weekend; the house that was eventually built on the lot was decimated by a tornado. 100 year Oaks snapped at the base and 4x4's jousted through solid brick walls.
I'm not much for the butterfly effect, but if this is not a sign that I was involved in a GREAT fucking divorce, I do not know what is.
Let me know if you guys want me to attach some photos.

Thanks for listening - karma is a good thing.

The only thing better would have been if your house was actually built, your wife took it from you in the divorce, and then neglected to insure it!

Great story nonetheless Seebs! I could go for some pictures if you have them readily available.

If your wife fell in love with her bowling partner, only one reference comes to mind...

All I could think about when making the reference.

The game made you go 'skitzo' toward the end - so many friggin eggs.

Give me 'Pleadies' anyday.
